That is the most logically fallacious argument I have ever heard. By your estimation if I am born angry then the expression of my anger is morally ok. SIn is sin. And it must be repented of, not submitted to.

I pray that you live in a way that makes you happy. I have many gay Christian friends who tried to be straight and they were miserable. I believe that God made you the way that you are and wouldn't want you to try and change yourself. Research has shown that gay people don't chose this life style, they are born gay. God loves you, so it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks about you.

Well - there's nothing in the bible except for Genesis 19:5, Judges 19:22, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Leviticus 18:21-22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26-27, and 1 Timothy 1:8-10. It is true that God came to save the unsaved in a lost and dying world... a world lost and dying because of sin. However, we as Christians are commanded to live in faith and purity. There is no purity in following the lusts of the flesh... be it homosexuality or heterosexuality outside of the bounds of marriage. Only a recognition of God's will and His power for you to harness as a Christian will help you overcome sin (of all kinds). It requires focusing on HIM and not yourself. You must will to do that which is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever.

Kinda makes it obvious that those who are trying to discourage are speaking from inspiration of the devil. Is in't he the only being who would discourage every man to go to Christ? And if Christ is not able to help, then how the Bible says He is the Saviour OF THE WORLD?! He can't be the Saviour of the world, if Christ is powerless to help certain type of people. He would be called in the Bible "the Saviour of certain people" but calling Him "saviour of the world" is a lie, unless He truly is the Saviour of the world.

It's absolutely ok that you were born gay. Even if it is a sin, it's no biggy - you can still please God by doing good in the world. You can spread His word, you can make the lives of his creations better. Homosexuality doesn't change any of that. Live free of guilt, because you are doing nothing wrong and God is loving and forgiving.

I know you are just being nice to the OP, but I have to point out that this isn't Biblical.
If this is true, it would mean that if I had the carnal desire to cheat on my wife, I could say "God made me this way and I don't think He wants me to change, so I am going to go through with my desires and have sex with another woman.".
There is no way God wants me to indulge in my sinful desires. Jesus said you have to "Deny yourself"- I think this could be a "life scripture" for many homosexuals and straight people who struggle with sexual temptations.
Except that it is a biggy when you consider that "homosexuals... will not inherit the Kingdom of God." - 1 Corinthians 6:9. I think you might agree that missing out of heaven is a biggy.
Some are a temptation for me personally as well. I do not want to give up my place in God's Kingdom just for the sake of some sin! It is a big deal if you are giving up Heaven just for some short term earthly pleasure indulgence which usually leads to destruction anyway.

How does a prostitute overcome the indwelling sin inside them? You do have indwelling sin inside you. You need to be cleansed and renewed in your mind and body. And just because you ask God to take this away from you, it doesn't mean that you will never be tempted again. Probably on the contrary. You will probably be tempted more than ever, as Satan will want you to go back into his ways. Repent, and God to change and cleanse your life and mind, and keep away from this sin.

We all have sin but once we accept God completely then we are compelled to live for Him. We are tempted - yes. However, when we are born again by God's grace we are NOT compelled to do the reoccurring things we once did. A change has been made.

First of all I want to commend you for your honesty and courage. I know from experience it is not an easy thing to open up about having homosexual desires.
I've struggled with those desires big time, and what's worse, I've also given in to them. Worse because doing that made the fight much more fierce.
I'm not going to repeat all the verses, but it is clear from scripture that homosexuality is not in the will of God. The only right place for couples to come together and become one flesh is a covenant relationship between a man and a woman, what we call marriage. By the way, there is no such thing as "gay-marriage". That's why I didn't say 'heterosexual marriage' because marriage IS by definition heterosexual.
Anyway, let me not get side-tracked.
In my own life, I see homosexual desires developed as a result of very deep brokenness, of sins committed against me:
First, I never bonded with my mom. She had totally buried all her pain before I was born due to extremely hard conditions and great loss (my first two brothers had died before I was born), so she had to bury her entire emotional life. When a baby cannot bond with the mother when she's not emotionally available, a deep inner sense of emptiness is the result. As if there is nobody home on the inside.
Second, my dad had learned and honestly thought his children had to fear him. So after very few, very harsh beatings (from age 7 onwards), I grew to be extremely afraid of my father. His presence was a constant threat as I grew up. So I never identified with him. Quite the contrary actually. And to really connect with a dad is sooo important for a boy.
Thirdly, my brother blamed me of being homosexual, again at age 7 (my brother was 12). That day he had spied on me and an older friend as we were playing some games initiated by that friend. In the 'game' we had to open our trousers and 'show what we had'. Not a big deal in itself. It was a bit exciting and that friend had initiated, maybe less innocent, things in the past (we both grew up on farms so, we were early on exposed to a lot of stuff, and the sometimes violent mating between animals). But as my brother said those things in an angry way, shame, guilt, a sense of being different/inferior and fear he would tell it to my parents flooded into my life. What my brother said had a very deep and bad impact. Things became much worse as that older friend continued to try doing those 'sexual games' with me. On the one hand I was very excited about them. I guess it tapped into my need for a friend, as I was growing more and more lonely.
We didn't talk at all about how we were doing at home. There was no communication about deeper, emotional things at all. Our interactions were very superficial. There were no direct expressions of affection or vulnerability. So on the one hand I was looking forward for the initiatives of that friend. On the other hand it made me feel very, very guilty, having the words of my brother in the back of my mind, words I had held true immediately. So I almost always blocked/ I froze when that friend initiated another 'attempt' of playing a sexual oriented 'game'.
Fourthly and lastly, I experienced a lot of teasing/pestering. As I child, my 5 year older brother for years belittled me, mocked me, ridiculed me. He was taller and stronger, so there was very little I knew to counter this. It was very damaging for me on the inside. He always repeated something bad about my looks, and it made me feel very, very insecure. I grew so mad at my brother I clearly remember I was ready to murder him one time (around age 11), holding the poker. It was the one time in life I was in a stronger position, and I wanted to kill him with everything inside of me. I just didn't do it because I knew it was very wrong, but the desire to do it was totally there.
Later on in school (age 12 to 18) I was also rejected and put down during most of the time by most of my classmates and some others. It actually grew worse and at the end of my years in school and I felt totally excluded. When my brother lost his interest in mocking me as he had grown older, the kids in school were taking over. So my teenage years were utterly lonely. At puberty I was immediately addicted to masturbation with homosexual desires.
So, as a result of all this I grew to be a very insecure boy. I experienced very little love, had almost no healthy connection with my peers, parents, nobody basically. I was not in touch with my emotions or desires. To survive I had badly disconnected from them. I kept the struggle with my sexuality for myself. Only after a very deep depression in my mid 20s, I opened up about it to a few trusted friends. Later I would fall in love with a guy and start a relationship with him (age 27).
Until then, I only knew two options in how to deal with those sexual desires: either hide it and struggle on my own with addiction to masturbation in secret, either give in to those desires and live it out.
I now know of a third path: the one of restoration, of becoming the person, the real me God had created in Christ. It is the path of continually 'becoming' in Jesus Christ.
The first few years of my restoration, very, very deep pain surfaced. I can't tell you how many many tears there were as all the pain that was bottled up on the inside was starting to be released.
I started to discover my real gifts, which were very different from the ones I thought I had. I started to build healthy relationships. I started to open up to God and others about all the pain. I started to forgive and receive forgiveness. I started to receive love from my heavenly Father and started to love Him back. I started to love and receive love from treasured brothers and sisters in Christ in healthy ways.
And I'm still very much in process. I had and have to be absolutely ruthless in dealing with every possible way that could lead to sin. And I also had to renew my thinking, and all of this is still going on.
You know Mike, we are soooooo loved. I cannot put it into words. Just look at the cross. The Lord loves us so much, we are so precious to Him. In fact, His love is so strong, it is strong enough to love us out of our sin, as we respond to His love through repentance and clinging to Him.
He is here. He is loving you right now. It's up to us to be there/here for Him as well, and open our hearts for Him, every day, and focus on Him. He is totally able to bring forth His original design in you as you let Him.
And that design is definitely not "gay".
Let His love and the love of brothers and sisters in Christ transform you.

First of all I want to commend you for your honesty and courage. I know from experience it is not an easy thing to open up about having homosexual desires.
I've struggled with those desires big time, and what's worse, I've also given in to them. Worse because doing that made the fight much more fierce.
I'm not going to repeat all the verses, but it is clear from scripture that homosexuality is not in the will of God. The only right place for couples to come together and become one flesh is a covenant relationship between a man and a woman, what we call marriage. By the way, there is no such thing as "gay-marriage". That's why I didn't say 'heterosexual marriage' because marriage IS by definition heterosexual.
Anyway, let me not get side-tracked.
In my own life, I see homosexual desires developed as a result of very deep brokenness, of sins committed against me:

Mike I'm glad you asked. First off I want to explain as to where this comes from, this should help you to discover roots for it. Now I'm not going to go into the in-depth spiritual warfare part of it. I'd rather just try to help you first. Understand that homosexualism is coming out of lust. In order to fight lust you need to weapons. Truth and LOVE. With these you can conquer. Understand that the Truth is that God loves you. That Christ designed you completely. He made every part of you for a purpose. Jesus said every hair on your body is counted. So every part of you is special. I want you to accept this. I want you to understand that homosexualism is a lie. A very effective lie...true. But still a lie. And because of this your very desires and feelings are against you. In order for you to break free of this lie, you must pray for God and ask Him the following... that He should break any soul ties on you that have a negative impact on you. Secondly ask God to forgive you any curses and sins either committed by yourself of those from whom you inherited, specifically those concerning LUST and LIES. Next you should pray that God should open your heart for TRUE LOVE. For true love is all about giving. While Lust is all about receiving and transactions. Accept that Christ gave Himself as TRUTH for you completely in LOVE, so that you no longer have to fear the sin. Pray for God that He will bind your desires to His will and that you will no longer have desires for the same gender. Ask Him that He should create a LOVE in your heart for those of the opposite gender as was His intention.
Pray this in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST and then ask that God should seal you with the BLOOD of JESUS concerning this.
Do this and you shall be healed.
