Good post, Kim. :)

I rarely contribute to household chores because my schedule is hectic and I don't have enough time to "unwind". At the most I can accommodate the gym for an hour and playing music for an hour everyday. That's about it. I do the rest of the things only when I get into a fit.

But what I do is that I make sure I spend an extra minute keeping things where they belong. Instead of throwing things on my bed and then spending 10 minutes cleaning up the pile, I keep them in their place. Despite my laziness, I am a very organized and meticulous person. Things have to be in their place or I will get very flustered. But activities like dusting the furniture or mopping my bedroom floor are reserved for when it gets too much for me to tolerate. I am TRYING to bring even those activities into my mainstream schedule because I would like my place to be spick-and-span.

Kim, I'm being totally honest here.. I really wish I had the patience to read your original posts. I can tell by the replies that they are probably pretty good, but I just can't read stuff that long unless its for school or something. :( Whenever I see a new thread from you I get all excited, but then I see the original post and I'm like, ok I'll read it later... but then later never seems to come because I'm always trying to save time. :(
The other funny thing is that I've seen a lot of threads started here that ARE pretty brief... But then everyone asks, "What do you mean? What are you talking about? I don't understand your point..."

I guess it's another one of my bad habit to over-explain rather than under.

Or maybe it's just an excuse to talk! :D

I think I must be an introvert with an inner extrovert that's dying to get out.

And Cat, I hope you know I was just kidding in my earlier post!!

Ah, don't worry about what I said, Kim. Keep doing what you're doing. I just thought maybe you were wondering why I seldom seem to reply to your thread questions. I probably should have PMed you. Live and learn.. :p

Lol--you're absolutely fine Zero and I appreciate your honesty. As I said, you're obviously not the only one who feels that way :).

Maybe next time I'll send you advance copies of something I want to write and have you edit it. Except... that you'd have to actually read my original copy! The torture! Muah ha ha ha!!

On second thought, I might start sending you first editions ON PURPOSE. :D *Hugs*

Except for house cleaning which I put on ignore.....up till now being single I have been able to do that...Things might have to change here soon....But......

If it is something that needs to get done like annual taxes, job reviews, etc. I usually just do it as soon as possible rather than procrastinate as if I get it done I just sit back and relax and continue to ignore house work....That's right I have at least a months worth of clothes so laundry gets done at least once a month....I mean why do it every week? The washer and dryer run the same amount of time whether it is a half load or full load so it may as well be a full one....

As for the rest of the house work when it really bugs me then I take care of it....I have a high tolerance for clutter maybe not so much for actual dirt.... But then again when you are single it is my dirt and it ain't going anywhere..... Tourist may have different ideas though so after November 27th the party might be over for me.....Unless he has high tolerance at which point it will become our dirt.

God is working on me. I used to be soo lazy. Now that I am living for Christ I just can't get away with the same things I used to. For example: It was so easy for me to walk past trash at work or at home. I figure if I didn't drop it why would I have to pick it up? but from the start walking with Christ, he told me to pick things up and guess what? now I'm getting better at cleaning up everything in my house I'm like a clean neat freak now, well almost, lol.

I never deliberately approach things I don't want to do.

But when someone tries to make me eat a chicken fried steak, all I can do is slip it into my cargo pants pocket, and then throw it in the bushes outside the house as I'm walking to the car.

You wear cargos?

I'm curious, do you really use all those pockets? :p
Oh, I can see her in cargos, but would she dare wear socks with her cargos. :D

Well, now that we're all in the family, what do you think about donating your Hot Pink Cool tennis shoes to Yours Truly? :D
I'm thinking I may take them to your game thread, Banana... and trade them for Australia. :) (My very own kangaroo farm! Woo hoo!)

I did the same when I was young, Blain. I got it over with as quickly as possible. I try to do the same now that I'm much older, but sometimes I just can't push myself. So I do this trick now: I walk away and say to myself, "It'll be there when I get back." When I walk back the 2nd time, it doesn't seem so overwhelming and I tackle it and get it over with.
