Haven't really attended any church gatherings except for an occasional pot luck lunch after service. Transportation was our car. I agree with Kim and it would be cool to arrive by helicopter.
I've learned to avoid pot luck lunches, at least in the church I frequented a few years ago.
Someone apparently left their food out too long, as after arriving home to relax, it was a guaranteed afternoon of running to the restroom all afternoon/ evening, sometimes into the night.
Not only did I get a spiritual cleansing on those days, but a total body cleansing as well.
I learned to rush home on those days, My mother had a big family lunch waiting...which was indeed true.
And more settling afterwards. Lol
Oh yeah, I drove to the meetings. On said times above, sometimes quickly. Good thing I took the Interstate home...

By the way, when you say gatherings, do you mean church service or other events that take place at church?
