Its just I know he says "I will never leave nor forsake you". But Im just not in tuned with the Holy Spirit like I used to be(Backsliding). Especially since im trying have a mind similar to Christ, it just seems like im not getting anywhere with my mind. I feel like God left me because of these impure thoughts. Or maybe its my insecurities with my self? idk

This is one of many questions I've been dealing with, mostly surrounding my weak faith in God.

Pray and have faith.Faith is precious and i 2 want more of it.I think teenage hormones cause us to sin the most tho lol
God bless

You have to let the holy spirit talk to you, I thought the same thing that no one's there, but I was wrong as a verse in 1 peter says 'Satan is like a roaring lion, seeking to whom he can devourer.' so yes god is with you, he always will be.

It's kind of a toughy and a really personal one at that. Are you TRULY seeking God with ALL your heart? I had an experience not too long ago where I could not figure out why I was so out of touch with God, but I realized that there was something in my life that I needed to get rid of because it was slowly pushing God off to the side, and once I prayed and repented of it, I was able to feel connected with God again.

Psalm 23 is something I always read and use in this scenario, and recently I was convicted by Holy Spirit about my role in this.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death
, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life
,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

As David sings, God is with us in our worst situations. He walks with us through the valley, or our worst time, AND before our enemies. He prepares a table before us. It also states that goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, meaning it will actively follow us.

What Holy spirit has convicted me of is that God (the goodness and love) follows us, because he follows our path. What are we doing in our lives that leaves a trail of love behind us which he can find and follow us. Sometimes my outward actions aren't always Christlike and it has prevented me from feeling connected with God because in that same sense I was hiding like Adam and Even after they had eaten the forbidden fruit. God knew where they were and he knew where I was, but why did he ask? He asked and waited until WE come out and make the changes necessary to have a loving relationship with him. We are hidden behind sin and shame, and they separate us from Christ. He knows where we are, but he's calling us to break the barrier we created.

I'd pray, ask Holy Spirit to convict you of whatever it may be that is separating you from God. Pray for healing and a fresh start. God is great and WILL give it to you. You have to show up with the keys, and trust that he will provide a way. HE WILL!

God will never leave you or forsake you, you have grown apart from God from your sins. But, he is always there. Seek and you will find.

I know because He loved me before I loved Him.
He is like a shepherd, if one of His sheep goes missing, He will search all day and all night to find the lost sheep.

hit the nail on the head there! Sometimes it does seem like God has left but put it this way.....if you think God left you because of 'impure thoughts' then he would have had to be there when you had those thoughts. So whenever you think of something impure do you feel like God knows what you just thought and is 'unhappy' (for lack of a better word) with you?? because if you do..then God must be there to know you had those thoughts.

I think almost everyone goes through the same thing at some point. I know its cliche but read your bible....you may not think its changing you but one day something will happen and you'll think "oh! i know what God says about that" and you can do what he says!! If God is God, and God is all knowing and if he is Gracious and loving God that you know.....I'm certain he'll keep his promise and stay with you...ALWAYS (even if it doesnt feel like it)!!

Rember that in Matthew 28:20 Jesus says: " And be sure of this; I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

if i call 2 God he allways answers me and Jesus comes 2 see me everynight he will sit by me and talk 2 me and he wil hug me 1 night he told 2 go heal someone 4 him and i obeyed him

You know god is with you because your mind constantly thinks about him. Relize you can do nothing w/o god.

You know he is with you because of the Holy Spirit which guides you.

You know he is with you because he said he is with you, even unto the end of the age.

You know he is with you because he loves us. He would not make himself known to you if he didn't think you had the capacity to love him.

You KNOW he is with you. ^-_-^
