How do you know when your marriage is over. I know God hates divorce but I am seriously considering divorcing my husband. He has not been home in 3 days. Kids are asking questions that I dont know how to answer. I've prayed about it every night for months for God to show me a way.

Have you had troubles for some time? Is your husband a Christian? Have you tried to go for help? Sorry, just there are some questions that might be able to help find an answer.

It sounds like your husband has answered for you by leaving you already.
Gone three days without a word?

He doesn't care. To call you. Come home. Be a husband.

God forgives.
I can tell you from personal experience.

When you feel led to divorce, don't ignore the fact that can be God telling you it is over with.
Your husband has already left you.

Free yourself and find the man God intends.
A happy marriage does not bring misery. You should cry with happiness and laughter.
Not misery and neglect.

🙏🕯️

I remember walking away from all my supposed friends when I recognized that none of them treated me as an equal. Everything you've done to help can be something not recognized, also everything that has been done by all parties should or could be calculated, recognized by all parties so they can be aware of what everyone has done to support their causes etc. then maybe everyone can be on the same page and hold each other accountable and hopefully hold everyone in equal standings?

Divorce is very hard. Being faithful in hard times is hard. Been divorced for 10 years now and the gap from then until now has been hard. I tried and I regret quitting. Sure, he took me for granted and did things that did not edify our family. I gave him chance after chance after chance but at a certain point it became embarrassing so I figured let him go and be happy. But the thing is it just created more of a mess. A movie at the time came out called War Room. I did not go see it because I was done and did not want anything to tell me different. Time passed, divorce etc. and I watched that movie and boy do I regret not going to see it. Because the one thing I did not really do was seek God, I acted in my own flesh and understanding. Watch the movie. If you already have, watch it again. I don’t know your situation but God does. Trust God, seek Him in all things. Pray, pray, pray. Please know that God does not want you abused, mistreated or anything like that. He sees you, he knows everything about you. Let Him love you through this no matter the outcome that way you do not have the regret of acting in the flesh or in your own understanding. Ask God to bring things to the light so that you can understand. Maybe, this will grow both you in your husband in the direction God has for you both. In His Love, I pray for you and your precious family.

We've had trouble 2.5 years ago. Worked through it and both became born again. Things went well then about 4 months ago things started going down hill. We went to 1 session of marriage counselling, then he refused to continue

It's best if you ask these questions of your pastor, who knows you and your situation, rather than strangers.

Marriage has to be worked on. Communication, learning to give to sacrifice, to put the other person first. Then there are different backgrounds and past relationships to deal with. Misunderstandings and unfulfilled expectations. Marriage can be a bumpy road, even the best of marriages. When asked a wife was asked "in all these years of (marriage) , have you never had problems or disagreements? Have you never even once contemplated divorce?"Not once," she fired back. "Murder, a few times-but not divorce!" The "she" was Billy Graham's wife! So try to get to the bottom of the issue. Even if your husband won't go for help, you continue getting help. That along with prayer can turn things around.

There are so many variables which impact the answer to this question coz every situation is so unique.
I’ve been married for 25 yrs & have been neglected for 25 yrs. I am tired. This has torn me apart. I have suffered, cried, prayed but nothing has changed. I’ve finally decided to separate. It’s an incredibly painful and difficult situation.
Mine is so different from your scenario. Yet I can understand your situation, because the result is the same, a broken family. The hurt, the frustration, the grief - it’s all valid.
I pray that God fills you with grace, peace, strength and wisdom as you begin to contemplate the direction you want to go.
He is a faithful God. No matter what He is with you. Be blessed 💜✝️💜

Many people find it easier to speak to strangers. But you aren't wrong.
There is an issue with pastoral marriage counseling.
Many,if not all, pastors will defer to the Bible passages regarding the forbidding of divorce.

I knew someone married to a monster. Who called himself a Christian.
Abuse,hospitalizations, torture, rape.

Their pastoral counseling was partly responsible for her murder,in my opinion.

The pastor told her, even when knowing all that he did to her, because he'd visit when she was in the hospital, no matter what, God forbids divorce.

She couldn't divorce him. She should pray, stay in counseling.

On their anniversary he beat her to death.

God didn't have to endure her torture. Her rapes, her beatings.

Maybe, even when she'd converted a hall closet to her prayer room, God did answer her prayers.
He let Brian send her home.

It didn't have to happen.

If God is love, hard to imagine he'd insist a loveless marriage should exist for the rest of two people's lives. Just to please him.

RIP G.🙏🤍🕯️You are missed.

I understand, my parents were friends of a judge who was a Christian, but he would tell women to go back to abusive mates. One couple who began attending church were having similar issues. She tried to reach out for help and the judge told her to go back to her abuser and he broke her jaw. They left town soon after. Never heard what happened to her. I agree, there is a lack in marriage or any counseling in the church. It hasn't changed in years, I don't expect it to any time soon. Very sad.

It is sad. And such tragedies happens far more than we think.

I hope she got away from him. And is safe and happy now.🙏

I would never stay in a physically abusive relationship. Never. My parents never spanked me. They didn't have to.

If a boyfriend or my husband had abused me, my dad would have put them in the hospital.

I don't know why women stay. Maybe they don't either. Very sad.

Wait for the Lord.

If we call ourselves Christians, then we do everything by the scripture.

Either tell the kids truth, or tell them you can't disclose the matter at this time. Honest is the key.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding.

Pray, seek good biblical counseling in person, not on internet.

Peace.

A couple I know, they were atheist, divorced at young age, with young kid.
Then separately, God found them. They became Christians, in different churches.
Then God started saying to the man, "go home...."

7 years after they split, they re married each other in the Lord.

Wait for the Lord.

To op, answer to the title, when one party insists on living with another affair, or married to someone else, or abandonment (serve you with divorce paper), call it quite.

Bible says so.

Mark 10, Matthew 5, 1 Corinthians ....

Hypothetical.

What if the husband beats the wife , and puts her in the hospital, gives her concussions, threatens to kill her and her family if she leaves.

What then?

Trying to go to healing and reparative therapy will always come to you, it will be great It is the best solution that occurs to me for All for everyone who is in your same situation Divorce is not the option

Divorce is always an option. Always!

If a woman is married to the Devil, get out!

Run.Divorce!

Because God also says,we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

A spouse that beats you, tortures you, rapes you, cheats on you,may claim the name of Christ.

But they are a liar.
They do not know Jesus. And Jesus does not know them.

Divorce that Devil!
Don't live in Hell.
