Joshua 1:8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

And this type of love is the fulfillment of all

Joshua 23:6, be ye therefor very courageous to keep and do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;. Joshua 23:8, But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.

Thank you Jesus and Father for loving me so much you went to the death for me in my stead and all that beleive you in their stead also, so we can receive new life in you, via the Spirit where today is the only way you are worshiped. Thak you a thousand times over. and so teach me how to walk by Faith in trust of you Father as Son was ans is?

Everyone has their opinions, but God's word will rule...

Love Mercy and truth reign, and such is God so as you have recieved Mercy walk ye in it and give it out or it might be taken back, if you ever have begged for this Mercy given through Christ, and turned away from it and taken others that owe you to court. I do not see Christ as a scape goat, taking advantage of such an amazing grace given to us by God, do you?
Keeping on topic free will shows the amazing love of a Father to son, without the free choice we would be nothing but puppets, Praise Father for free will, choice

Exactly what I said...the works are not done. Write but write so that your nakedness will remain unseen!!!!

By the body of Christ's death we are:
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

LKeft with the choice to either beleive or not, too simple if we believe we get moved on up to the new life in the Spirit of God by God a free gift by God through Son's finished work:
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

So how will God be Just at the end of the age.. through mans free will?

God is just, no matter if free will or not. God is not dependent on man. Man is dependent on God alone. and being born of flesh ,man does not want God to be his friend and lead, Flesh trusts nothing but its self

So no matter what man chooses, since it is God that has shown and given Mercy through Son is awesome, since we all deserve death period. What an awesome God to give us the Mercy that changes us from flesh to Spirit
Flesh = death and Spirit of God = life Given through the cross of Christ and that is final
It is nothing more than a free choice>

God is just in whatever God decides, we have nothing to do with it other than to believe God or not

Hi Homeward,

This is where it goes wrong, Don't forget Adam end Eve did not stay innocent, their nature changed...
and because of this all mankind.. no one is born in the state Adam and Eve where originally created ..(Very important)!!!

what is 'freewill'

To change ones mind fromn unbelief to belief and be transformed by Father in the Spirit, dead to flesh nature and alive to God in Spirit via the resurrected Christ justified in the Spirit of God

Hi Jag,

The gate is Christ indeed. Who are the sheep and how do they get in? Because His sheep know His voice.. did they by their free will hear the voice, or was it through the spirit that they heard...

The above are very good warnings for all people to listen too.

God calls and man responds to either beleive God or not, and God knows who are his and his sheep know as well, no matter what others say or don't say

Hi Stinger,

The Passover is certainly important.. but so is the day of atonement.. for God's people. these where allshadows and pointers to the ultimate atonement..

But even the analogy you provide (which I believe to be flawed), does not address.. the issue of 'freewill and God's justice'.

Bottom line either one believes God or does not and this will be revealed at Judgment. It effects God none, as there is no excuse for man at that day for God has already gone beyond in Mercy given to us through Son leaving each in the free choice to decide to either believe God or not

Yes.. :)

Is it your freewill that saves you? a simple yes or no will suffice ?

If I choose to believe God, by God's calling through the Spirit of God as in the day of Pentecost, yes my response in agreement saves me, being given the choice to consciously decide, Then God starts and carries on the Good work God began in me after I decided to believe God. I learn from God to be dead to flesh with Christ's death to flesh and see the new life in the Spirit as God has called all his children through Son's finished work in perfection. It all starts with making the free choice to believe, we are sealed at that moment with the Holy Spirit of promise. (Eph. 1:13)

I believe the Bible is very clear on this and speaks for itself.

1 John 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

So it is by your free will that saves you.. for you have decided.

God is the one that reaches out to us to believe through the Holy Spirit of promise, it is God that does the drawing and we do the responding as God is the creator and we are the creation

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Hi Stinger,
I have never said that people cannot make choices.. I have said it numerous times already.. I make choices every single second of the day..whether I realize it or not.

But ask your self why you make the choices you do..the matter is not whether you can make choices, its why and how you do. I also have never said that you don't participate in your own salvation. I had faith and believed and repented.. as all Christians do.. that's not the issue either.

The issue is mans will and its enslavement.

all humans make the same choice, they reject God and are quite happy to do so... and none seek God.. so something has to happen first to change that.

God is wholly just to let all go to hell if he so wishes. for no one is righteous and no one seeks after God. yet he does indeed have mercy upon his sheep.

This is what happened, past tense today:
Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

Mercy have you not received it, maybe beg for it, I did and got it, everyone Else's turn

1 Jn 2:2 is clear, But what does that verse have to do with perverting God's Justice. If one whom Christ died for, and paid the penalty for all their sins, for them to subsequently go to hell for their sins Jn 8:24 makes God unjust, for He has punished them once in Christ and now again in themselves for the same crimes !

First off, this verse has nothing to do really with the topic.. an one day homeward i'll be as perfect as you ;)

Hi Homeward,

all the above sounds good and tickles the ears of the , I, Me and mine syndrome of man :)

Also when I read through it, your thoughts are confused... then we get to the last part it gets worse... you say at the start it starts with God, then you change your min by the end of the paragraph and say that it all starts with 'free' choice (whatever that means you don't explain this either).

A lot of I, Me and Mine going on, before God is able to cope with your sovereign free choice.. and manages to actually help you in some way.

Instead of just taking Ephesians 1:13, read it right through. when you get to ch 2 it may surprise you ;)

What if every one decided ..No.. Its not much of a promise..

The promise is a certain fact that What God set out to do He will do! and its not based on mans sovereignty.

Hello svedbygrace,

I recommend you go read my post (#152). It addresses your misunderstanding.

Hello phil36,

(Yes, I will get back to you on your last post to me, but right now I am just trying to catch up on this thread). So what is it you see in Eph 1 and up to (and possibly including) Eph 2 which would deny homwardbound's claim of choice to believe in Christ?
