Correctly Saved?

Mark 13:13
There are three salvations just as man is a 3-part being. The initial, instant salvation is the spirit, which is what it means to be born again. Once an individual is born again, he or she will begin a process, the salvation of the soul. This is the way of the cross, learning to deny self and seeking the kingdom of God as the first priority. The final salvation is the body, which is replaced with a spiritual body.

Much of the confusion is because "salvation" has come to be Christian shorthand for being found in heaven when you die. This is unbiblical. "Salvation" should be rendered "deliverance". We are saved from the penalty of sin - justified. We are saved from the power of sin - crucified. We are then able to live as God intended us to live all along - resurrected.

The "salvation of the soul" mean to be liberated from the bondages that we still have when we first receive Christ. There is no instant deliverance, as many find to their dismay. However, we can and should experience real freedom as we continue to walk the straight and narrow way that lead to life. Sadly, many Christians will not pay the required price. To be born again costs nothing. To experience the salvation of the soul costs everything. You cannot be "unborn again". So every Christian has eternal life. By definition Christians cannot die spiritually. Eternal means just that - eternal.

Each Christian faces their own, personal "Gethsemane" where their self will clashes with God's will. Personally, I've had more clashes than I like to remember. Once we come to the place where we are totally submitted to the will of God, life becomes simpler and easier. Our circumstances may not change or may even get worse. But we have the mighty power of God, His grace and His wisdom to enable us to overcome. How blessed it is to stop caring about the things of this world and the demands of self. Once we are quiet in ourselves, it becomes easy to hear the voice of God. Worry ceases and fear evaporates. It's the only way to live!

Eternal salvation was accomplished for all of those that God gave to his Son to redeem them from their sins, and secured them an inheritance of heaven. (John 6:37-40). Jesus was a sacrifice to God for God's acceptance, and not to mankind for their acceptance.
Well.. I'll have to agree to disagree you on being converted before believing in Jesus.

There are too many verses that have believing in Jesus for getting eternal salvation.

Other verses about pre-destination are mainly about a pre set entrance to heaven for a believer and a pre set destiny for all believers to become one church in heaven.

I don't believe God pre-selects some to go to heaven and the rest go to hell.

Of course God knows what we will do.. but that doesn't mean He makes us do it.

A dad might know his daughter is going to hurt her fingers learning to sew. Doesn't mean he is controlling the daughters fingers.

A person does not receive everlasting life until they decide to believe the gospel.
It's upon belief that you must take action however, and OBEY the gospel. So it's more than belief which is only the start.

We were saved to do good works (Eph 2:10), and we should do them. Rewards are at stake. But we are not saved by works, but by faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 1:13; 2:8-9; Rom 10:9; Acts 16:30-31).

Your misinterpretation of the scriptures are the result that you are applying all of the salvation scriptures to eternal salvation, which will tend to teach eternal salvation is gained by good works. According to Greek interpretation salvation means "a deliverance".

Those that God gave to his Son to die for on the cross were delivered eternally. That was a one time deliverance. Jesus finished work on the cross in delivering souls to heaven. Those that he delivered on the cross are delivered (saved) many times as they sojourn here on earth.

Only those who accept Jesus' provision for salvation will profit from it. People are delivered when they choose to come under Jesus. One need only be saved once. No more yearly offerings for sin like in the OT. Jesus paid the price once and for all time for whoever will choose to come under His blood.

Yes there is two kinds of 'save'

One is eternal.. initial belief in Jesus as God, who lived a sinless life, died and rose again. Believing He can deliver us from sin. Once and for all.

The other kind of save is daily deliverance, and a salvaged life for God.

They are different kinds and the second isn't linked to eternal salvation. Only that those being delivered daily from sin.. are already converted.

So.. 'faith without works is dead' . .. context is of deliverance not from hell.. but daily faith.. using faith already previously given.

'He who endures to the end will be saved'

This is similar.. deliverance not from hell, but from trials and tribulations in end times.

But then John 3:16.. this is eternal deliverance from hell.
