I’ve only completed the ESV once but not cover to cover. First read the New Testament, then the Old Testament scattered. I listened to the entire NIV from genesis to revelation though and I tried getting my way through on “Thru the Bible” but I couldn’t finish it.
I usually use the ESV Bible app to listen or read because prefer how it’s laid out and I also prefer the speakers voice. I have listened to the Bible app in the past though when I just started out.
I believe Isaiah is a very good Book of the Bible for beginning to read the prophets of the Old Testament. This may not be true for you, but it certainly boosted my spirits...
