Note in day 1, it was heaven, earth, water, light. No light objects.

So I would doubt day 1 is same as today one day.
Also maybe some experts can help me. On day 1, God separate the light and darkness. I wonder is that a time separation or spacial separation? If that light in day 1 is God, how did it work? If that light is not God, how did it work.
The early days not very easy to grasp.

Yeah, sources of light did not appear until day 4. We should ask the question "Then what was the light and from where did it come?"

"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter."

Yeah, it should lead to the question "What is this the beginning of?" Some people envision an earth without people. Or an earth without light. Yet, the reality was an earth without form, an earth that was void. There is nothing physically measurable, here, to the human senses.
Another legitimate interpretation of “without form and void” is “featureless and without inhabitants”. The surface was undifferentiated water.

Perhaps. We shouldn't discount it.

Isn't it interesting water is mentioned without any apparent use of it? And light but without a source the earth is accustomed to?

Consider that the whole of creation was made to accommodate the entire estate of Christ...

"For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him."

..so that whatever was made was designed ultimately for the purposes of God, in Christ His Son...

"...but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world."

This is the mystery of "Let there be light!".. it is how the invisible God becomes visible. It is the beginning of "In the beginning...". The point is: creation was not an arbitrary matter that required an explanation so man could understand it. No, it was specifically designed for the purpose of putting on display the nature of the invisible God, with Christ as the template of all things:

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation..."

A follow-up inquiry may be "How can someone Who is invisible (God) have an image (Christ)?"

Personally, I think the safest position is to say that God created light on Day 1, separated it from darkness, and established the distinction called day and night.
Exactly how that functioned before Day 4 is not fully explained in the text.
The early days of Genesis are definitely not easy to grasp.
Sometimes the text tells us what God did without explaining all the mechanics of how He did it

Now consider the fact that the above charts are NOT accurate. It assumes the reigns of the kings of Judah all started the same month/day as the
previous king. And also all the patriarchs had the exact same birthdays as their fathers. Here's an example:

I see you were wise to consider why no months or days concerning their births or deaths of the patriarchs or reign of the kings.

I am going to share why:

There are 76 generations to Yeshua, and Jesus being the 77th. My studies show they were all born and died on PASSOVER. I cant share my indepth studies here but consider what I said.

One other major thing I would to share is--that They were not in Egypt for 430 years but 315 years. This would be from the time Jacob stood before Pharoh to the Exodus.
I gave the texts for those years you question.
Perhaps you should examine my 1st post more carefully.

I do, of course, appreciate the time and effort you have spent on this.

I am curious (aside from Jesus) what biblical references do you have that anyone in the list was born (and died) on Passover?

Water is real. This earth is real. The creation account is real.

Nothing in the historical account shows a prophetic or proverbial nature.
It's a literal historic account.
Never said otherwise. But consider God through Christ is revealing His character within creation.

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead…”

I have and you are in error in more than a few spots. Need to review.

For example- You went from Noah having Shem to Shem having a son two years after flood

Missing 100 years here

Before light come into the world, we have verse 2, darkness, water, spirit of God. It seems it was hinted "darkness" was not good.
Then light came in, I believe the source of this light is God self, giving out radiant light.
How God separate this light and darkness is a question.
At night time, God turn off this light?

I explained that discrepancy in the OP.

Where do you see a missing 100 years?

Noah was 500 when he begat Shem, Ham and Japheth.
600 years when the flood came.
Shem was 100 when Arphaxad was born, 2 years after the flood.
That's a 2 year discrepancy not 100 years.

Didn't you read the statement about John, Jim and Sam? The counting of the years could be 2 years off in just 3 generations....

How many years was it from birth of Shem to the flood?

Methuseleh had Lameth at age 187------------ Year ( 874 ) --------------------Methseleh died year 1656 from creation

Lameth had Noah at age 182 --------------------Year 1056 ----------------------Lameth died in year 1651

Noah had Shem at age 502------------------------Year 1558 ------------------------Noah died in year 2006

Flood came in the 600th year of Noah Life in the second month------------------------Year 1656

Shem had Arphaxad when he was 100 years old---- year 1658--------------------Shem died year 2158

Isn't that what I posted in the OP?

Yes, I admit there is a 2 year discrepancy. The bible says Noah was 500 when Shem, Ham and Japheth were born.
600 when the flood came. Which means Shem was 100 when the flood came.
But, of course Shem's son was born 2 years AFTER the flood when Shem was 100. (Gen 11:10)

Where is this so called 100 year discrepancy?

I'll post this John, Jim, Sam scenario again:

John was born in the year 1900. His son Jim was born when John was 20 years old. Sam (Jim's son) was born when Jim was 20.
One would assume Jim was born in the year 1920 and Sam in 1940 right?
But what if John (dear ole grandpa) was born in December, Jim was born in November and Sam in October? The bible does not tell us the month/day of the births (or reigns of kings), only the age (or year of reign).
How old would John be in November 1920? Only 19. His 20th birthday is another month away. So Jim had to be born in November 1921 and Sam in 1942.

That shows an actual 2 year discrepancy in just 3 generations.
Simply because we do not know the actual b-days of John, Jim or Sam.

You can't see this same 2 year discrepancy in the 3 generations from Noah to Arphaxad?

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead…”
All throughout scripture light is associated with God, for God is light and in him is no darkness at all. In the same manner, darkness is associated with evil. God separates light and darkness in Genesis 1:4 calling the light good in contrast to darkness. Question, where did the darkness come from? The fall of Lucifer to Satan? I believe so.

Paul was commanded to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, from the power of Satan unto God.

Obviously in Gen 8:22 when "yom" is used in conjunction with "layil" it can only mean 12 hours of daylight with 12 hours of night.
But the measure of day is not in hours. The measure of a day by hours is 23 hours and 56 minutes which is the reason they have leap years to compensate for the minutes lost each day.
