Getting married is not all that difficult. I think that most of us here, if the goal was marriage for the sake of it, could be married in a year or less. The trick is...finding the right person.
And some people are probably not even sure of the parameters of even that.

And sometimes it takes longer than others to find that one person.

Do you ever see something that, technically IS a serious remark... BUT something about it makes you want to burst out in a laugh??! :oops: You have NO idea of the moral (social?? ethical??) dilemma you just put me in!! ;) LOL But laughing (through my tears...), I feel ya, girl. :cautious:

One who's: never been married, is celibate, and ACTUALLY puts Jesus first???? And isn't hella old???? And is biblically orthodox in her theology???? And can hold her ground in a spiritual discussion???

I get lonely and discouraged and melancholy.

And then I remember...."all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose".

Even this loneliness, discouragement and melancholy. Thank you Lord!

Marriage is not just a relationship, it's an intimate relationship that a gift from God :)

All you can do is keep praying and waiting on God. And while we wait, let us not be depressed about what we don't have but give thanks for the blessings that we do have.

I suppose if we all lowered our standards, we would all be married by the end of the year. But is it worth it, would we be happy?

You look so young, may God take care of you and prepare the right person for your marriage. I know some people get married very well, but others never meet the right person to get married, I should be the latter. But we still have to be positive every day.

Let us wait together and rely on God to live a happy and active life.

That is what I keep reminding myself. It is better to wait long, than marry wrong. If the relationship is not what God wants, it will be miserable.

Sometimes we see others get things so easily and quickly and we ask ourself then why we are to wait. Then we try to convince ourself of some good reasons. But some people you expect least to hurt you, turn up and don't know how much you have been trying, will just say some funny hurt words or give you advice you already before or lead you to wrong rush decision.
Though Abraham got Ishmael, when God promised him the coming year Isaac will take birth, it was hard to believe.
What God promised did happen indeed. What a miracle. But between the day of promise to the day of achievement, lot of things that could make the promise not accomplish: Sara was kidnapped to be made wife for a king !
But the promise of God is the promise of God.
So,we will serve this same God.

Well, have you prayed to God about your wife. We are usually told to pray for our future spouses before going out to find one. I know God works in mysterious ways, so there is no telling when or where you will find the one, so just keep having faith that he is working with you on this. God bless :-)

I fully agree with your estimation. If it is not really possible to ever meet in person than it would be pointless to continue the relationship because in all likelihood will never advance beyond the online aspect. We just celebrated or 4th anniversary and it has been wonderful so far as I have a wife who truly loves me, accepts me for who I am and cares for me deeply. She prays for me everyday and I pray for her everyday too to be a loving and faithful husband to her.
