  • Support his decisions in front of your kids.
  • Share concerns or things you don't agree on in private.
  • Speak highly of him to your kids.
  • Treat your husband like a man not a child & do not refer to him as "my other child" (I hate when woman say that).
  • Acknowledge that your husband have valuable wisdom & insights.
  • Honor your husbands rules even when he is not around.
  • Call your child out on disrespect or disobedience to their dad.

And same goes for the husbands towards their wives!

Ok, but you get to go home and recuperate, don't you? That's a whole different ballgame. LOL

I was told this joke a long time ago:

A young woman at the hospital was in labor with her first child. The delivery was extremely difficult and as she grabbed the nurse's hand for support she asked her in tears, "Is the worst part over?"

The nurse replied with a chuckle, "Honey, this is the easy part. The next 18 years will be the most difficult!"

Funny, but true. Situations will arise that you never even imagined would happen. You cannot prepare for some of the events that occur during marriage and motherhood.

But my hat's off to you dear, for wanting to be a good wife. That's wonderful, praise God! Just remember that the Lord is the one who is our resource and not a list of rules. Trust Him and all will be well... even when circumstances are not. :)
I do not have a reputation? lol i could lose my job and I actually care about the kids and how the end up I am an major influence in their lives they sped 10 hours with me

But my point is. Is that you are not there in the middle of night when that child has a nightmare and needs to be comforted or gets sick in the middle of night or even when they wet the bed. I admire your patience for working in a daycare, but real life is nothing compared to that.
Yes I do they take naps in the middle of the day they wet on the cot they have nightmares and wake up screaming and wake up 30 other kids kids get sick all the time

Where did you learn that one from?
The bible says she is to learn from her husband and from the anointing, which is truth and teaches you all things.
Titus 2 is good for this discussion, but for brevity I'll post the bits about older women and younger women.

Titus 2:3-5
3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

I don't mean this in a bad way, but you honestly have no idea what it is like. You will wake up one day and realize it is much harder than this job you are working at.

There is a HUGE difference between raising children and taking care of them.

Sometimes the rules go out the window....There is a little thing like God shaping us and we are all individuals and the rules don't always fit God's mold or future plan and design for the individual.

I see at least two types of Christian women...the girl girls and the boy girls....I would have liked to have been more,of a girl girl but I never had a male spiritual head in any family I lived in so I had to become my own head and my authority goes directly to Christ as a result of that.

That causes a lot of friction for me in this world as an outspoken Christian because the carnal men never want to acknowledge spiritual authority in a woman and sometimes even the spiritual men and women are confused by it.

I just do the best I can in spite of all the confusion because I am going to answer God's call no matter what...that is what the most spiritual people do....they let God use them even when the world tries to say they are just a woman and tries to hinder them.

Be sure you aren't hindering people with your rule making....Most of God's word isn't really the literal law people tend to interpret it as....I think it is more like a beneficial or benovolent guideline...probably because there are so few hard and fast situations in this life and it is better to flow through life than it is to move like a stick figure.

Prophets always go directly to God mentally and there are a lot of women prophets in this world and in the bible.

Oy vey... this sounds so rigid. Jesus said, "I no longer call you servants, I call you friends." If I can be a friend to Jesus my Lord, I can certainly be my husband's friend. It's not a master/servant relationship. Totally the husband is the head, But I like the way a wise godly gentleman posted it just recently, "But the wife is the neck that turns the head."

I also see it as the husband being the strength of the home, and the wife the heart of it. :)

Jesus said treat each other the way you want to be treated. That's it in a nutshell. (And that is obedient as well!) There is a big difference between performing a deed out of obligation and loving someone from your heart in the liberty of Christ Jesus.

But whatever floats your boat. The joy of the Lord floats mine.

You appear to be a wise and godly woman, from what I have read, however, I just posted some verses from the bible, and you are saying that sounds rigid?
Did is sound rigid what the OP posted? It sounded like love to me. It sounded like someone who was not going to try and exalt herself above her husband, or to be the head, or try to control and manipulate her husband.
I didn't say the husband is to be a tyrant. No! He is to love the wife like Christ loves the church.
The bible has much more to say to the husband than to the wife.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Men are to love and cherish their wives, even as Christ does the church and as I so my own. I just want to love my wife because she loves me with all that is in her.
All I am saying is that if you walk as God said to walk, and do what He said to do, God will bless the marriage, and both will enjoy each other and the marriage.
I personally see too much exalting of women and children, and the demeaning and feminizing of the men/husbands/fathers.
Just watch some of the movies out today and you will see that the one they portray as the dope of the show is the husband/father. The wise one is the wife/mother and the smart and clever ones are the children.

Nothing more amusing than a teenager coming on here and preaching about something she has no experience with - raising children, career choices for women, how to relate to her husband, etc. etc.

This OP is just cultural Christianity. Do you want to know what the Word of God really says about women and marriage?

"An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will have no lack of gain.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]She seeks wool and flax,
and works with willing hands.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]She is like the ships of the merchant;
she brings her food from afar.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]She rises while it is yet night
and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]She dresses herself with strength
and makes her arms strong.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
Her lamp does not go out at night.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]She puts her hands to the distaff,
and her hands hold the spindle.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]She is not afraid of snow for her household,
for all her household are clothed in scarlet.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]She makes bed coverings for herself;
her clothing is fine linen and purple.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Her husband is known in the gates
when he sits among the elders of the land.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]She makes linen garments and sells them;
she delivers sashes to the merchant.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
[SUP]29 [/SUP]“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates." Prov. 31:10-31

This model woman has several businesses on the side, cares for the poor, and is praised by her husband. And not one thing from the OP is in this.

Amen, Sister Angela! My kids' father was hospitalized with kidney stones several times during our marriage. I had to work to help out financially, took care of three children, kept our home clean, made sure the laundry didn't pile up, cooked every day, made my own maternity clothes and a lot of my babies' clothes, even made a fancy red bathrobe for my husband for Christmas one year, was a volunteer at the kids' school, got the kids involved in church and taught Sunday School, the kids & I kept a vegetable garden, we were all involved in nursing home visitation, soup kitchens, music big time, my husband & I bought & sold items for extra money, I made holiday ornaments that my kids would sell door to door so they could have money to buy gifts for the family, the kids & I used to gather the other kids in the neighborhood & take them to the museum or zoo on free days, I baked little loaves of bread for neighbors and friends, I held an aerobics class in my home for women at church who couldn't afford to go to the gym, I volunteered to tutor kids who were suspended from school, we went camping as a family very often, and were very active in young couples groups at church, etc. etc. I mean, it was a busy, busy life.

And then you have all of the difficulties of life to deal with throughout all of this. A set of rules will offer you no encouragement or strength. What I'm saying is, sometimes it feels like work. Who am I kidding? It felt like work 99% of the time!! LOLOL!! But I never felt I really had a choice because God's love gives you strength and His Spirit propels you to do these things again and again, year after year. When Christ Jesus is in your heart and you thrive in His love and peace, it is Jesus Himself doing the work through you.

It's awesome when my kids bless me by giving me praise and credit for this or that. But they & I know it is Jesus who leads us day by day and performs His purposes through us. He gets all the glory and thanks and praise! \:)/

Thank you for that ma'am. I stand corrected.

I AM RAISING THESE PEOPLE KIDS they spend 10 hours with me and 3 hours before they go to bed with their parents

The role of a child-care provider is temporary, concentrating on making sure the child is safe, learning & well-behaved only during the time that they are being paid to care for the child. The role of a parent is a permanent one, spanning the child's entire childhood years, and being responsible for the child's whole being, whether the child is with them or not.

Titus 2:4 says the older women are to teach the younger women to love their husbands.

Read it again.

Oh, and by the way, before my little epoch above makes you think I was Little Suzy Homemaker, you have another thought coming. Let me also tell you that I wrote a lot of Christian songs during that time. Most of which were scribbled frantically on a tablet that I kept by my bed for all the times I'd be stretched across it in desperation and distress crying out to Jesus to please help me and deliver me. Most of my songs were Psalms calling to God for help. Because motherhood and marriage is often suffering and dying to your flesh and abandoning all your disillusionment to Jesus that His perfect will be done.

Got it, thank you, but I'm not seeing much encouragement for the young lady, only that she doesn't know how hard it WILL get.
Most have only one or two children that they have to deal with before they ship them off to the day care center or school while they go do other things.
I helped my wife as much as I could when I was home, and I would think that many of you had someone to help you too, such as your own mother or mother-in-law.

I know and their only reasoning that I apparently do not know how to take care of a child and couldnt possible have any idea even though I work with kids from 3 weeks- 5years old is because I am 19 and one doesnt wake me up at night

I never said you didn't know how to care of a child. What I did say, is there is a difference between you being a daycare provider and being a parent of a child.
