Yeah, yeah really. You make poor decisions too, Nate. You ain't perfect like God is. None of us are. Someday we will be, but it won't happen in THIS lifetime.

Hubby and I were talking about this thread. He went through his atheist stage from 8th grade to... sometime in his first marriage. He spent his high school years reading philosophers, so when he first went on his ship (sailor -- aircraft) he thought he'd impress others by quoting Voltaire. Something about if God was real then he's not treating people kindly. (I don't want to go through his verboseness to quote the long babble.)
In the crowd he was trying to impress there were a couple of true believers. After the boasting contest they quietly took him aside, and explained his flaws.
In the usual arrogance of an atheist. His answer was something about what comes out of the tail end of a bull. I expect us to get the same type of "deep" answer from Nate.
Hubby is embarrassed now. Nate has yet to get there.

Easier said than done.. EVERYONE gives into sin at some point in their lives. That much is obvious from the plethora of divorce, adultery and porn threads in the Family forum. So stop acting all high and mighty like you never sin, because I am sure that you do, and you will.

Most atheists are under the assumption that Christians are a bunch of silly child-minded people who have never questioned what theyve been told.
Im not kidding btw, thats the generalization they have on us : p They dont seem to believe that many of us come from that same world view, as if its impossible to leave it after such a "revelation" : p
Look here, young brother, I'm with you in that I ain't gonna waste my time arguing with atheists. But now you're arguing with a sister in Christ which isn't godly love. Love doesn't boast, doesn't parade itself around, doesn't put others down, love doesn't fail.
James 3 reads: We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
Well, you are not keeping your words in check so you're not keeping yourself perfect. We're perfect because of Christ. Now trust the Lord for yourself and stop arguing, ok?
