Islam and Christianity oppose each other in so many ways. Muhammad even denies that Jesus was the Son of God.
The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (9:30, Yusif Ali)
John 8:23: And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I AM from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. If He was not of this world and from above, what else would He be?John 8:57-58: So the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."
They never seen Abraham but believe, but when Jesus tells them exactly who He was while they saw Him, they were hesitant to believe Him. "Before Abraham was, I am." He was here before Abraham but still a mere human being/prophet? Or was He being sarcastic or deluded?
Sorry, I'm horrible for when copying and pasting and putting it on posts and it's not letting me fix it... My commentary is in italicized and underlined for the Bible verses*.
