Welcome to CC and nice to meet you. I have heard the phrase 'Boxing Day' in British movies like 'Hercule Poirot's Christmas'. It can be taken in a wide variety of ways. It seems to have gotten the name from the idea of Christmas boxes (gifts) being handed out esp to the servants. Also, the day after Christmas just a leisure day with family & friends eating leftovers, and then in some countries sports are involved.

Hi, Polina! I appreciate the favorite Bible verse you have listed. I cringe when I hear His holy name spoken disrespectfully. It's absolutely not okay!
My advice for a merry new year would be to dedicate some time consecrating ourselves to God- studying His Word, praising and thanking Him for who He is and what He has done, praying, and taking an inventory of our lives. What changes could be made to enhance or increase our devotion to and fruitfulness for God? This is something I need to do!
