I usually dont speak on things I dont know about. And when I know its because I have studied. If I dont know a question or the bible is silent on the issue. I will say idk the bible doesnt really say. But then ill give my opinion from what scripture has shown me. So i have not apologized for being wrong in awhile. I find it to be ignorant of me to jump in a conversation that I have not studied.
Dont get me wrong im always open to learn. But before I say anything I want it to be accurate. If im going to talk the gospel I want to be accurate before making a noise. I have learned a lot that built apon my foundation.
If I dont know Im staying silent and reading others post who do know.

But I am! Always I am right. It is so invariable it startles me. And now it looks very much as though I may be wrong, and that upsets me. But I should not be upset, because I am right. I must be right because I am never wrong. j/k of course
But guess who said this??? It's a TV series.

I have been wrong ONCE in my life. Once, I thought I was wrong, but I wasn't.
Seriously though, if I'm ever proven to have mis-spoke here, I'll admit it. I have no issue with it since I'm not concerned how my reputation will be affected (I'm always going to hate myself, so I just don't care). However, I'm usually very aware if I am ignorant about what I want to speak about, and I just stay silent so I don't have to say "I was wrong".

Thank you brother for your kind words.Hey bookends! We haven't seen you in so long you have been missed
If I happened to be wrong on CC (Not like it has actually happened or anything...), I would admit it, slap a meme on the thread and just abandon ship
Ok, I guess it was wrong to post a new thread and then run away from the computer for 3 days
Great thoughts and comments.
billG asked about admitting wrong to yourself vs admitting it to others -that's a good point. If you do not admit it to someone whom you have knowingly wronged, does that matter? Or is just knowing it yourself enough?
Do you think admitting wrong equates to making a confession? Is there a cleansing power in admitting wrong?
Rockrz said If people didn't believe in what they were saying... they wouldn't sayit. That's very true and kinda what led me here. It seems most everybody here is here to tell others something. They have something they believe is right, and thus anyone and everyone presenting a different story is wrong and needs to be set straight. There's hardly a soul in these threads who doesn't believe they aren't 1,000% right. They have no interest in even entertaining the other side's argument. And in lacking so, they have placed themselves in a position where they would never accept and admit that they were wrong. Even tho there's a 50% chance that they are eventually going to be proven so.
And I think this has a part to play in all the infighting here. People are more likely to vigorously defend their positions than to accept that there is even the slightest chance they could be wrong. Since they can't be wrong any suggestion otherwise appears personal and reaps a personal response. And thus we end up with brother vs brother, wielding their Swords against each other instead of at the enemy. And the enemy just laughs.
Please, no matter how convinced you are that you are right, save just 10% of doubt that maybe you're not actually that perfect. You can be assured and still have respect for your brother's assurance. People who respect at least that much don't take swings at each other. And there's far too much swinging at each other going on here.
If people didn't believe in what they were saying... they wouldn't say it.
Because to do so requires them to accept the possibility that they could be wrong.
