5. i never felt i needed a woman to assist me in anything. probably because growing up & being in school, i was friends with people who did'n have proper upbringings. nobody, hardly, liked us, we were outcasts & so we became loners. because i lived on my own for around 36 years i'm used to still performing tasks & chores on my own without thinking someone can
help me. but abut 10 years ago, i started to think it would be nice to have a wife to help with home chores, laundry, cooking,
cleaning, etc. so i asked Jesus for a wife & lo & behold, my gorgeous wife came along.

At first I thought this was a girls thread, but as I read through your list of what you can do I thought, that sounds like a man, no woman I known can do all that! So I knew you were a man before I got to this point. Me too.

I remember doing everything for myself before I got married and since I was single and only feeding me, I got real good at grilling steaks! But then I got married for 26 years and was a big help. She did all the house work (wouldn't let me do anything to clean!), took care of the kids, and we went in Business and she was my secretary and a most excellent one (More than once other companies would call for some reason and when they heard her on the phone, they tried to give her a raise and get her to come to work for them!) She was that good and good with numbers. I taught her how to do taxes and she learned that well. She helped me build that business! Everything she touched turned to gold! I taught her a lot about business.

She taught me two things. How to be a good host when someone enters your home, and how to cook a lot more! She was a Polish irl and grew up on a farm in old country Poland. So she could make dinner from the gravel in the driveway, lol! And I paid attention! I was better at grilling eat than she was. She wasn't bad but when we had something grilled, I mostly grilled the meat and she prepared the side dishes.

There was only one thing that she couldn't get right, and that made her mad, lol. Baking a Cheese cake without it cracking. She never did figure it out and I did!! Reduce the heat and don't cook it too long, and simply blend the eggs into it and don't overbeat the batter! What happened was, the day I asked if she would make a cheese cake, she had to call her mom to get the recipe, and she took it over the phone. So her mom wasn't here to say, don't overbeat the eggs into it! So it's good for a husband to help his wife cook and learn how to cook better. I'm no chef but I've noticed I can cook better than many young girls now.

She always kept the house spotless for the most part and so after she left to wiggle her toes in the greener grass somewhere all of a sudden, I have to do all of the house work. I sure do appreciate how hard she worked all those years, wow.

But hey, I have adjusted to being single again. It is soo peaceful i my house.

Amazing post, thank you so much for taking the time to share this!!

I can't speak for other threads, but for mine, I most generally try to include both genders because, as you've eloquently shown here, EVERYONE has an experience to share. And the more that people share, the more we all learn -- together.

I tried to communicate that through that "I Don't Need No Man -- or Woman" in the title, but I'm glad you realized that men were posting here, too.

The time you had together with your wife sounds mightily blessed, indeed. 💖

As you can see, many of us are living the single life for a myriad of different reasons, but please feel free to join us in these discussions. :)

Your post was incredibly inspiring, thank you again!

Lol!

Whether it's a male or something in need of a mechanic, I'm sure @Texasgal can fix it!! :D:LOL::geek:

(This is a JOKE. I am not saying that men need to be fixed, or that they can or should be fixed by women. Rather, this comment is just kidding around for members who are familiar with some of personalities we have here in the threads!) ;)

How.Could.I.Not.See.This.Response.Until.Now????

But sure, I know how to fix…what you said.😂😂😂

Thank you Sister. She was an excellent Wife and Mommy, I miss her but Bush's stupid economic polices were bringing down the economy and when we dipped below 6 figures, she jumped ship! I miss her, she made a mistake. My guess is she got Americanized. When I first met her she had such a wonderful humble spirit. She only knew maybe 6 words in English when I met her. (didn't even slow me down lol). I couldn't go visit her without having a plate of food set before me. She had 4 brothers & sisters and she was the oldest and most responsible. I miss her and what we had until she got Americanized and it all became about the money. She raked me over the coals and wasn't nice about, And she wanted a divorce so I can't keep her tied up in the basement so I had to let her go. I had her for 26 years though. It was my mistake that she left. I loved her dearly but made the mistake of putting her on a pedestal and giving her anything she wanted. So she got spoiled rotten. I've had nothing and I've had money and I know I can live on next to nothing. I know how, so money hasn't ever really meant that much to me. I din want to be a millionaire, it's easy to see that, they have problems too, bigger problems! Money is a means to an end. I wanted marriage and a family.

I even told her (way back) that, if she ever chose to work outside the home, that she could keep all her money, and I stuck to it! She eventually did want to work outside, she still did secretarial but the business was streamlined by then. So she did and I'd catch her after a big job on her payday and ask her if she had a good week? And she'd look at me suspiciously as if I'm about to ask her for money and say yeahhh, then I'd say me too, here share the wealth and hand her several hundred to a couple thousand dollars, just to see her reaction. But like I said, that turned out to be a mistake.

And if God wants me to get married again, He's going to have to send her to my door! It is so peaceful now!

I pray for her. I forgive her too. water under the bridge.

You just break my heart with the last paragraph.
Thank God you have adjusted

I have been FORCED to deal with spiders and other bugs on my own. I’ve moved twice. I am most impressed that I changed out my headlight in a Mercedes!!

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

That's one thing you don't hear a lot about from the feminist movement. Very few feminists talk about killing their own spiders.

Everything I've pretty much had to figure out how to do everything and then some. The simple things around my apartment like cooking cleaning laundry all of that I pretty much have that down to an art and I get it done as efficiently as possible for me as far as having anyone else around it would be more like a companionship type deal I don't need anybody to do my chores. In 2016 my eyes went kind of berserk retinal detachment and to make matters worse I started having family members pass on I lost seven people in 18 months so then I was alone in the dark I still have partial vision but it's just not that great but I guess my point is I had to learn a lot I had to learn about public transit I had to learn about doctor's appointments and how to make that and how to live on next to nothing. Even though that probably doesn't sound very impressive I still make it everyday and I'm extremely stubborn I've managed to keep myself off the street for the last 8 years even though I have many challenges. But I do miss the companionship but what I've learned is that a lot of times if you have a situation like mine people will come in and say that they're there to help but they're not they're just there to use you or at least that's what happened to me a couple of years ago but that's water under the bridge.

Hey that's right huh?! In fact, we don't hear much from the feminists at all lately. Trump pretty much dismantled all of the specialy Biden/Harris feminist crap that they instituted during sleepy Joe's term. It's not totally gone yet, but as soon as the war beaks out here in the States, then Feminism will die 100% instantly.

That spider joke was funny, and true! I never seen a feminist catch a live mouse with her hands either! I've done that, lol.

I know of more men who don't like spiders than women who don't like them (regardless of whether the woman is considered a "feminist" or not).
Spiders are more than welcome in my house. If a man came into my house and attempted to kill a spider....I'd remove him, not the spider!

Spiders ftw! 🕷️

Ever since I got bit by a spider as a kid I dont care for them. Had a 50 cent peice sized chunk of meat turn black and ooze puss for 2 weeks. If I got some random corner dweller oh well so be it. I will let it stay. But the large hairy wandering hunting spiders get smashed on sight. They can be spiders outside lol.

Hairy  Maybe that's why I like spiders :D

I let spiders live in my house. But I haven't seen and brown recluse or black widows either so it's cool. Spiders eat bugs that find their way into your home.

My sister got bit by a brown recuse before. It was nasty.

Yeah. That. Some spiders you don't want to let in.

Wolf spiders, the big scary ones that everyone screams about, those are harmless to humans. Deadly to bugs, and they don't leave webs lying around either. They hunt, not trap. They run around actively hunting bugs. I like those dudes.

Writing spiders are cool too. Looks like a miniature movie monster, but totally harmless to humans. If one sets up shop over our porch light, I take care to leave the light on all night to draw a lot of business.
