Why are people mean to others. I don't understand it at all. It drives me crazy when someone calls me a dog. I am not a dog I am a human bean.

I don't know why people do it, but I guess we just got to learn to take the good with the bad and try not to rile back with anger.
I guess maybe try that old saying kill 'em with kindness...which is hard to do...lol...jk with that one.
Really though we should try to follow the scriptures....

There is no single answer.
Some people are simply mean hearted.
Some are raised in that environment and don't know differently. Some are insecure and need to bring others down to feel better about themselves.
Some may be having a bad day or week and lash out in a way that's not normal for them.
That's a few off the top of my head. No doubt there's more.
And I think you mean human being, not bean. ( ;

Michelle you have to learn to live in the real world ... Insults are going to come your way ... The more you let them get to you, the more you are likely to receive ... You should not let words hurt you so much ... Look at it like this: If you are following God and doing good then He knows this ... What does it really matter what others think ? ... They are not your salvation and they are not the One you will be answering to on judgment day ...
You dont believe them, do u?! And that is why u have to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might=). When ur firmly grounded in Him and His words, promises, and love, nothing will shake you. Oh yes, we may be hurt a bit, or sad abt such for we do have feelings, but endeavor not to focus on that. As a younger person first shared the Gospel, it was emphasized to me not to rely on our feelings, but on facts of God's Words. Try to keep as much of God's word hid in ur heart, so can think, say or do them in truth when u need or are tempted to respond to such useless or meaningless comments. You can do so by reading/listening more to His word, Scripture songs, even reading lyrics of hymns (for me, this helps a lot). This just came to mind: u are familiar w/ The Pilgrim's Progress, right? We can learn much from how he overcame too.
My dear precious sister. Don't worry about them. That's how the world is. But remember that even though you are in the world, you are not of the world. If you were of the world, the world would love you; but since you are not of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Also remember what JESUS CHRIST our Gracious LORD said, "I have said this to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
That's a horrible thing to say to you. I'm angry for those that would say such a thing and sad for you to have to hear this kind of talk.
