HI, I'm feeling a little over loaded right now and pretty much unappreciated. My husband is disabled and mentally he isn't all that he was. I do my best to care for him and his needs in addition to working full time. My youngest daughter and her 2 girls, ages 7 yrs and 19 months, lives with us as well. My daughter is working 2 jobs and isn't around much so I am their primary caregiver and I certainly provide their emotional needs and support. I love my family deeply but I am feeling more than a little beaten up. As much as things should be different they aren't and not likely to change. Please pray for me that I won't allow this spirit of depression and defeat to overtake me. I know God has a plan and His ways are always perfect.

I was a caregiver too for my sick late wife and also working full-time and taking care of everything that it takes to keep a household going so I have an understanding of what you are going through. Why does your daughter work two jobs? It would be great if she could just work one job and help you take care of her kids. I believe that you are overwhelmed. I will pray for God to immediately address your situation as it appears to becoming intolerable. Yes, I understand and have experienced the debilitating affects of depression also and that is a lonely and isolated cage to reside in. I am praying now for you. Don't give up. Help is on the way.

To all who received him, to those who believe in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

No one can tell you they know how you feel, I agree with tourist that people who have been through similar situations can understand. they can be a great resource for emotional support and encouragement. I believe what you are doing is out of love, love for your husband, your daughter, your grandkids and most of all your love of GOD. I pray for all people who are caregivers, it takes a special person. No doubt you are feeling overloaded probably because you are. But I am praying that you don't feel unappreciated. Your family may not show it but if left on their own one day they would know appreciation. I know I am not telling you anything new when I say we store up our treasures in Heaven, GOD sees every little thing you do and will show his appreciation. Jesus promised that we would have trials and temptations but Paul said we should count it all joy. Not we should jumping with glee and celebrating but joyful that GOD sees us worthy to test our faith. All trials and tribulations should result in us growing closer in our relationship with Jesus. I join in prayer for you and with you that GOD would hold you and comfort you and that you can feel his love and appreciation.

Hello and welcome to the forum, Retta. I hope you find this space helpful.

I’m sorry you have so much on your plate to take care and I can certainly understand how you feel. I’m praying, asking God to give you strength, patience and encourage you at this time. May He bless your family in a loving way and provide for all your needs as you trust in Him.

Matthew 11: 28-30: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
