Yes, I remember that too - and when we went to the Job Centre to see the Jobs - they were on cards on a board. Good old fashioned handwriting. Now its slide and tap with the finger on a machine. Hmmmm - wish it was back to the old days!

I remember when "complicated" was deciding what game to play, red rover or tag.

I remember when summer was all about playing until the lightning bugs came out, afternoons at the lake, and riding with the windows down with music blaring.

I remember when I used to wear overalls - ALL the time. (And looked darn cute doing it)

I remember when I first heard my children's heartbeats.

I remember when Metallica hadn't sold out to the corporate music industry. IMHO, everything after the black album has been a festering pile of suck.

I remember when the internet was not necessary for most daily things and one had to leg it to the bank/store to bank or buy stuff......

Sometimes I wish I could time travel back to the mid 90's before the internet took off and in a time capsule experience life w/o the internet and how we had to entertain ourselves via cd players, kickball, or set our alarm for barney etc b/c there was no DVR stuff except tivo which came in the late 90's....VHS was the best friend of recording TV media....no mp3 players just OTA radio....no hdtv so we had to adjust the rabbit ears at weird angles to get a good signal and avoid tv snow....thermostats weren't smart but just mercury with two metal tongs to set it off....the closest thing to IM was calling on the landline telephone to friends....no gps but had to use maps....man if I think of all the changes in the last 20 years it blows my mind how far technologically we have come and how it has changed our life mostly to the negative of having constant input/being busy with all these extra gadgets and no time to one's self....

I remember when I asked my grandpa if I could try his chewing tobacco. He gave me a dip thinking his sweet little granddaughter would just promptly spit it out....but instead I ate it.
