I enjoy having conversations with others who are Christians in the truest sense of the word. Those who believe we are saved by grace through Jesus Christ because of his blood shed at Calvary. I came to "true" repentance when I was fifteen, and baptized again (years after my infant baptism) in a river, even though raised in a Catholic home. I was never introduced to truly what it meant to be saved fully, finally, and eternally. I learned prayers, and rituals, listened to homilies, songs that we sang, and honored Saints and Feast Days and Holidays. I attended church faithfully and loved watching how holy the nuns appeared in the Sanctuary. They took this religion so seriously.

I went eight years to Catholic grade school, going to confession before a Priest every Saturday so I could receive communion on Sunday. (I remember making up sins just so my confession would sound more interesting to the Priest.) I never really knew what I was doing. I was just going through the motions of pretending to be pious and good by what "I did"....not because of anything Christ already did for me.

I am glad to be here and find friends of the same mind to help me grow when I am not in God's WORD, in prayer, or serving my family because I enjoy it. We have twelve grandchildren. I am blessed in the life I get to enjoy now with Jesus.

You are not alone in this, as quite a few here have come out of the same or very similar
background .. Some of our members remain in the RCC and some are Orthodox.
All are welcome, although the official stance overall is that Catholicism is heretical.
