God said he knew Jeremiah before he was brought forth from the womb.....look the word knew up.....and then ponder the word for a while....then look up the verse that states clearly that the spirit man has returns unto God that gave it.....then ponder that with the verse about Jeremiah....

Are you saying what I've pondered about in the past that our spirits existed before we were born in the flesh?

As a very young child I had a waking vision on my bunk, and it was more like a memory.

I saw darkness with all the souls tha are, ever were and ever will be kind of billowing
on the edge of a precipice. I was there also. There was a wee small light that could be seen across teh precipice
That almost seemed to beckon with the understanding that any who believe , or
have conficence in the light will cross the seemingly bottomless chasm in the breach with no harm at all
coming to them.

It has been almost seventy years and I never spoke of this to anyone, but the feeling was
as though everything or everyone was familiar, and it did comfort me.

Oh, the reason I am posting this is because I felt it was more a memory than some kind of dream, though it was allegorical I suppose.

That's amazing, it reminds me of a 22 minute song that I like that is a story which part of it talks about the singer wanting to get to the light on the other side of a endlessly dark casam and feeling his hopelessness until Jesus showed him He built a bridge for him to cross.

Anyway, I'm not sure how your vision relates to my post?

For me it relates directly because I have always had the impression it all occurrec before creation, even at six.

Interesting browsing this thread: Some good answers here:

One thought I would like to add that I didn't see expressed a lot:

Jesus as a man certainly could have felt "lonely" when he was on Earth (especially in the Garden and on the Cross). But what we need to realize is that he is still "man" today. I Tim. 2:5 - For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. So Jesus today is still certainly able to feel all the feelings of humans.

I think another part of the answer here is how one defines "feeling lonely". We all have different perceptions of what those words mean. Does it mean simply "a longing for deeper companionship" or does the word "lonely" cross the line to where our longing starts becoming a demand? Words like "lonely" often have a different "connotative" meaning to different people.

For my part, I would probably say that Jesus today does not get "lonely", though he does certainly "long for deeper companionship".

In a lot of respects I think the same could also be said of the Father, though it is true he is not "man" in the same respect that Jesus is. I fear that we too often view the Father as a distant Judge quite incapable of feelings.

Me at 4, and later confirmed...a dream of creation being cast down before ever going to church or cracking a bible or hearing the word......later confirmed by science and the coal seams
