Ok. Here is a list of things that are real scientific objections to the FE idea.
No one, and I say again, NO ONE on this forum, has bothered to address even one of these ideas.
My simple question is, why doesn't anybody even bother to post on these issues?
There is an endless run of uninformed and emotional responses not in the slightest bit related to the issues.
Are we looking for real truth? I suspect not.
There is a real problem here.
I'm talking about thoughtful, informed, logical reasoning.
Here is a list of things the Flat Earth Theory cannot explain. The reason they can't be explained is because the Earth is spherical, not flat.
1. Eclipses
2. Phases of the Moon
3. Tides
4. Meteors and comets
5. Why the planets "wander"
6. Solar flares
7. Why we can have different seasons on the earth at the same time
8. Why different star constellations are visible from different latitudes
9. Why the moon looks upside down in Australia as compared with North America
10. Why the North Pole is in full sunlight all summer and full darkness all winter. (and opposite at the South Pole)
11. Time zones
12. How Gravity works and why it decreases as you go up a mountain
13. The existence of North and South Magnetic poles
14. Coriolis Force
15. How the GPS system works
16. Why weather systems in the N hemisphere are deflected to the right, in the Southern hemisphere they get deflected to the left
17. Air pressure and why it decreases as you go higher
18. Why water pressure increases with depth in the ocean
19. Why do we have 24 hours in a day? 365 days in a year? 60 minutes in an hour? 60 seconds in a minute?
20. Noah's Flood
21. Why do Civil Engineers have to allow for the curvature of the earth in large structures? - Verrazano bridge, Cern accelerator etc
22. How do you explain away all the pictures from space that show the Earth is spherical? (You mean EVERY picture taken since 1947 is fake?)
Is there anybody out there who is serious about properly debating even one of these ideas?
