I think often times in our search we tend to focus too much on finding someone that we share a lot in common with rather than someone who might bring something to the table that we don't have.
Personally, I'm a deep thinker and tend to have a variety of interests. I can be a bit strong willed & opinionated (I'm working on it ... I promise!) and some may even say that I have my head in the clouds (or worse... be kind Stillwaters! *lol*) Anyways, I tend to relate best to someone who is a little more grounded, who has her own areas of interest (which makes for great conversation) and who is somewhat open minded.
You could say I possess a bit of a "soldier mentality" and tend to face issues head on. I do pray before facing an issue or task and at times will fast depending on the time frame given to prepare. Although often times I rely on heavily on personal faith & discernment "in the heat of battle" - I pray a lot on the move - maybe not a good idea to some - but God has yet to dissapoint.
However, as far as a potential mate is concerned, I can be a little impatient which is why it's probably best that she posseseses a lot of it. Also, I tend to look for someone who is an intecessor at heart, who would much rather have her voice heard before God than man. In other words, someone who raises her voice to God instead of directed at me! *lol*

i very much agree Naz...however, I wouldnt go to the extreme to say that necessarily all opposites attract...if you're TOO different...it calls for lots of disagreements. It's definitely challenging to find that good balance...

Hi. I've found these to be some great places to meet people:
1. On a run down bridge, about to jump off.
2. In the movie theatre watching "Tigger" by themselves
3. Randomly going up to the jail and asking who needs to make bail (thats always a great conversation starter).
4. Walking the streets trying to sell fake children's drawing to make some money.
5. Out behind a gas station needing a meal and a warm coat.
6. Walking the railroad tracks.
7. In a homeless shelter.
*shrug* those have been the places I've found the best guys at.

wow GG. you're so amazing. i'm pretty sure you prolly have more street smarts and stories than anyone i know.
yeah..........I don't know where to meet guys! I teach elementary school--I'm not gonna meet a guy there, considering it's like a 99% female job. And my church only has a handful of people my age and they're all married. So I'm kind of dependent on meeting someone through some random chance encounter, and let's face it, the odds of that aren't so good! I should just become a nun.

LOL! The first christian girl I met was off a fluke chance encounter. I had considered it a miracle and made a huge deal out of it. I blew my once in a blue moon chance. She freaked out and later avoided me at all costs. Ah! The perks of depending on meeting someone on church. It's like a needle in a haystack. You become so overjoyed when you find it that you botch it!
She's engaged now. I've dated a few more christian women since.

Sooo... Does anyone ever have any success meeting anybody??? I live in an itsy bitsy city and my church is itsy bitsy... so... I don't meet many people. I've never dated anyone from here. Umm actually, I've dated very few guys. But that's beside the point. I have ONE good friend here. Hey what can say? I'm shy. Anyways, I've met some people online and its really nice to just chat with random people once in awhile.

Hey sometimes if you just do what God tells u then you always meet new people! Like for example I use to live in Kansas City Missouri and now I live in St. Louis Missouri which is about 3 and half hours away. God told me to go to St. Louis to do some ministry work but I really didnt want to because I didnt know nobody! So I prayed that God would bring me some new friends! And BAM!!! Im already starting to meet new people! So yeah pray to meet new people and see who God brings into your life! (I still waiting to meet my wifey!)

I never really thought about praying about meeting new friends. But it makes sense totally! God is interested and involved in every part of our lives, so it would only makes sense that He would be interested in what kinds of friends we have. Its like what any good father would do. Thanks for the enlightenment

theres always wal-mart lol, jk i moved to the middle of nowhere in TN a year ago and thats about the only place where anyone close to my age might be, but you can't really form friendships there, i would say church would be your best bet, unless there is no one your age around there, and in that case, get creative
dood yes! Tennessee...and supposedly lotsa southern states...Walmart is cooler than the mall. all the college folk go there in their university tshirts and pajama pants. it's pretty rad. *rolls eyes* haha...i roll my eyes...but i went there in slippers! wo0t! i have not found any great guys there yet tho..

I don't meet people I create them in my head and talk to them as if they're here... but I do it on paper and make it seem like they're talking to each other so it doesn't seem so crazy 
ohh well in my town there are a lot of single college ppl who are really desperate to not be single...so they start dating the first girl/guy who looks their way. yah...not cool. i'm not THAT worried about being single just to date some person whose name i dont know.
