I feel you on that here on Christian chat and many other sites women pm about that they need money or they just say hello on the place I met her women kept just saying the same phrases "hello" and then "how are you" and when I would tell them how I was for instance working or I would tell a little about myself and 9 times out of 10 they wouldn't talk to me so I kept doing that to not get bugged lol but, some like her actually talked with me and I respect that it weeds some of the phonies out.

I wish we could start a thread with the topic, "I Was Catfished--This is How It Happened, Step-By-Step, and Here Are the Warning Signs I Ignored Even Though My Friends Tried to Warn Me," because I would bet that almost everyon who shared their story would have all the same basic outline as what you're telling us now.
However, I'm also guessing that most people who have been catfished or scammed would also be too embarrassed to admit it, especially if it involved losing money.
