Im scared to let go of my control and allow God to take the reins.

My testimony.
When i was 9 my father was killed in a train accident, two weeks later my grandfather, my one and only grandfather (abulito or tito) had a heart attack and died two weeks later, i struggled for along time because of theirs deaths. they were the glue to my family, after they died everything fell apart especially my mother, who became a full blown alcoholic and was doing things that God does not want me to repeat. my sister Victoria who was 16 at the time followed my mothers path with little thought and at only 18!, all this time we are still believers of Christ but never doing anything about it, my sister Vannessa and i are still little girls being thrown into this world we were not prepared for. my sister Carmen was next in line she was 10 at the time of their deaths by the time she reached 17 she was a full blown coke head and smoker. to add to the pile all three were sleeping around, so what example did i have? i didn't follow right into their foot steps i kept my own for along time i started drinking at 14 and i made it all the way to 17 before i got talked into doing drugs for the first time. i was hooked on coke for about 6 months then one night my sister vannessa caught me and it was done God wanted me to see her heart broken, devastated her role model was getting messed up. i havent touched it since i went cold turkey and never looked back. long story short i knew by 18 things had to change God was telling me to get out of my moms house and take vannessa, so when i met my husband and we realized we could do this, we packed my bags and never looked back, i took van with me and she's still living with me to this day 5 years later. we both work out butts off and pay bills and we pray as a family as often as we can, but still we struggle with our past addictions and we still feel ourselves backsliding, but if God hadnt pushed me out and showed me the light i might be dead today. Thank you jesus for your everlast love and hope and forgiveness.

Awesome! My prayer for you is that you stay strong in Jesus name and don't fall away for He loves you so very much!

Hi There, You are a brave Girl. just learn to value and love yourselve and God and you will be fine. You have done so well! Its amazing how some people find strenght, all we can do is to carry on and do our best. Drugs are a powerful force and alcohol is too. People hide behind these things. I know through experience. Just be yourself and love will come to you beleive me. People that are genuine will see you are a good person and you will shine. I hope you are ok. Love Mandy xx

Very good story. I can not wait to hear it when it's an even better one.

God bless.

praise God for the courage and strength He has given you, hold onto Jesus,He is your anchor in and through the storm.I find that I am the strongest when I am on my knees praying and talking to Him,you know that it is in our moments of weakness that He is made strong.Giving up control is never an easy thing to do but once you do He does and will give you His best and the completeness that we all need in our lives.I struggled with pride for a long time but wasn't it pridfe that got satan kicked out of heaven?Anyway, you are all in my prayers,God bless and keep your entire family,AMEN

thank you for hearing my story and understanding that no matter how hard i try to be a "good Christian" sometimes we fall short. i wrote my testimony because i need to say everything i havent come to terms with outloud. thanks and God Bless you all.

Hallelujah, beutiful story my friend. God is among us and will guide us through life.

you have such a powerful testimony. the things that God brings you out of is for His glory, God is saying to you speak let go of your past let go of your hearts and pains take a walk of faith and trust Him. to get what you never got you hve to be willing to go were you never been and the only one that is keeping you in your past is you. God forgave you now its time to forgive yourself and once you do that you will release the strong hold that the enemy has over you.

woooooooooooooow alll glory to God,you are such a diva girl,a woman full of courage en inner strength, you did a great thing, may christ continue seeing you through all you do and may his emaculate light shine on you en dont get discouraged when you fall, raise up,wipe the dirt en continue doing good, none of us is holy but christ and the holyspirit helps us to do whats right,am soooo blessed by your strength and wise desicions there,
Stay blessed and continue with the good fight.
