Eeek. I want to apologise, sister. I'm sorry for my attitude in relation to your post. I look back and see now it's rather accusatory. That wasn't my intention, but that's how it reads. Again, I'm very sorry. Please find it in your heart to forgive me. Cheers, mate.
I forgive you and we are cool. :)

Silly or sane I have learned to ask the following:

After you ask: Have you ever been married?
If the person says yes, ask: How many times? (One guy I went out with at 28 had already been married twice.)
If the person says no, ask: Have you ever lived with someone?

Always make sure you give conspiracy theorists a chance to break out their 'proud to be a believer' flag by asking if Communism has infiltrated and now secretly dominates the media and/or the government. Does he/she think school shootings are plotted by the government? How about 9/11? You would be amazed at the answers.

Do you have any good questions? I would love to hear them.

Hopefully, you will have most of the info before dating. Shucks!! I would hate to waste a couple of bucks on pizzas for someone that I will have to drop quickly.

It is much cheaper than hiring the divorce lawyers and paying the settlement. ;)

It's definitely hard when you get older, I was thinking you might tell me a secret that would lead me to singles my age. :)

i disagree that it's only harder when you're older. i hear variations of that statement a LOT and it sort of annoys me because i think it's a very misleading and untrue. in a sense, i do agree options appear more plentiful. but the risk is far greater.

there are inherent advantages and disadvantages with both scenarios.

while you may have more natural opportunities with college and youth group, etc. you also have the disadvantage of meeting people who quite often have no clue what they desire, believe or want for their lives, even while they are professing quite the opposite. it's a lot about naivete and believing things work themselves out. also, lives that haven't been "tested" and are enjoying a lot of shelter from life's experiences and trials.

also, i really had no clue what i wanted, who i was, or what i wanted to become until i was around 25 or so, and still things were quite hazy in some areas--in spite of being rather mature for my age.

as you're older, the opportunities aren't maybe as obvious and easy, but they DO exist, if you're willing to put yourself out there. i guess being an extrovert has some real advantages in this, but i think there are a lot of guys (and women) out there looking, and thus, a lot to wade through.

on the other side, you are dealing with people who are more mature, know better what they want and are capable of, as well as a history of behavior on record (i.e. 9 year stint in jail might be evidence of character) and in my mind, far less of a risk, simply based upon a maturity/evidence and the like. i can trust more easily what they tell me they want, because their current life is a reflection of that desire/belief/plan.

That's a cheesy pick up line..lol :) Never, ever tell a girl that she's a rebound for you!!

Blue Ladybug, it's not a pick-up line, it's a legitimate sports-related question that is meant to build a bridge of commonality between a man and a woman who may share the same love for the game of basketball, thus having a positive foundation on which to build a possible future relationship.....................

Who am I kidding? It's definitely a cheesy pick up line!!!

"Do you like basketball? Because you are my rebound!!!"

!!! Is there something you're not telling me???

I thought you don't play basketball anymore...:(

You better be in my team, or else...

...we won't have matching uniforms!!! Like this:

Um... I'm hoping I misinterpreted that last shirt. Especially considering this is a christian site. Really, really, really hoping I just misinterpreted, yup.

'Scores' as in gets points in basketball, not "scores" as in makes sweet love. Reserve sex for marriage, kids.

I TOTALLY missed the other meaning till you asked. I hope I'm not making anyone stumble with that jersey pic o.o;

Well I was hoping... but the hearts at the top of the shirt seemed to make the other meaning the balance of probability. >.>

Okay....I never thought hearts would convey any sexual connotation o.o; I always equated hearts with love and that in-love feeling. Never anything sexual.

Feel free to have my post removed, if you find it offensive, brother.

Again, I apologize if my post caused anyone to stumble....

Sorry for the derail, by the way!!! :(

Azure, it's perfectly fine. I think we're all adults here and can move beyond that awkward moment. Love you, my dear sister. :)

Just to get back on track, I'll post my important questions to ask my date.

1) Your deo smells really nice!!! Can I use it too??? If you brought it with you, can I borrow it???
2) Do you think that it would be cool to use "glow in the dark" toothpaste, too??? I think it should be made available in all supermarkets.
3) Is your hair water-proof??? 'Coz we'll be jumping into a fountain, and I don't want to mess up your do

Okay XD I think I should come up with serious ones now.... Hmm....
