When I was assaulted by the enemy, I had serious injuries all over. One was a loss of sound and adequate sleep. I've learned and applied a lot of things that help.
The wealth of information I studied should be of help to others.

Hi @BigO25,

Thanks for re-posting this thread! :)

I've struggled with insomnia for more years than I can remember.

I'm on a treatment plan now that makes things more tolerable than it used to be, but I still struggle. I'm often awake most of the night for a few nights, then get one good night of sleep, then cycle starts all over again.

It's as if I "store up" a bit of sleep that my system runs on for a few days. A friend here calls me a "Sleep Camel," lol.

I try to make use of the time, depending on my energy levels. Insomnia is a good time for me to catch up on some of my prayers. :)

What about you, @BigO25?

What's your story with insomnia?

This is one of my mentors, Dr Peter Osborne. This class goes beyond college level because it's actually practical. One of the common reasons for insomnia in many is stress.

The reason I learned a lot about sleep is that I found very good teachers. Even with that help, there are still more challenges than restful nights.
That said, it was a necessity and still is to keep learning /applying tops. I often go all night or get only a little sleep and it is sometimes devastating, so I can identify with others who suffer.

It's usual for me to sleep afternoons/nap from 2pm-4pm and at night , in bed by 10pm I wake up sometimes 2 or 3 am. Then go back to sleep and wake 6-7am

It's kind of weird that I have maybe extra sleep/wake times and thus maybe I'm aging faster! Or maybe I'm sleeping like a baby i.e fitfully. Babies don't normally sleep the whole night through, often nap, then they wake up hungry and cry.

God hasn't forgotten me. I can turn the light on, so that's ok. Otherwise the moonlight can be enough
