This is taken from Reference.com:
Around 49.6 percent of the world's population is female, with a total female population of 3,710,295,643. There are 102 men for every 100 women across the globe. At birth, men outnumber women 107 to 100, but male life span is shorter. Nearly 1.28 billion of the world's female population lives in two countries, China and India. Curacao, Martinique, Latvia and Lithuania have the largest proportional female populations, with women in those countries making up more than 54 percent of the populace. On the other hand, many countries in the Arab world are more male-dominated, with women making up less than 40 percent of the population in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain.
The populations of men and women in the world is roughly equal, with slightly more men than women. There are currently 102 men for every 100 women in the world, with a total of roughly 3,487,869,561 men alive in the world today.
There are more males born per year, and the adult male population globally is higher than the adult female population. However, male life expectancy is lower, meaning that in the age group of 55 years and up, the female population is higher than that of adult males.
This includes babies, young adults and mature adults..
That number is 3 billion, 710 thousand, 295 hundred, 643 women, babies, children and adults..
SOO, that sounds like over-population to me.. geesh
I know it’s like how God populates the world and kids raised by Christian parents are a good thing for possible future believers but...do I HAVE to have kids? Is it ok that I don’t want any?
I have a coworker who was talking about her daughter giving her grand babies and that when someone else hadn’t it was like the kid OWED them grandchildren. Like really?
I know it’s a millennial thing but am I alone here? Am I wrong in my attitude?
I want a baby. But i don't want to see dirty diapers.![]()
I will not lie I’m terrified of the pain of childbirth or having a c section. It scares me quite a bit.
I want a baby. But i don't want to see dirty diapers.[/QUOT
"Dirty diapers" ........the circle of life: we come into this world wearing diapers and if we live long enough we leave this world wearing diapers."
Angela, your wisdom has given you a most rewarding life. You are a very fortunate person. If you don't want children, that is ok. But to not want children because you are afraid of childbirth? That is just silly.
I have 4 wonderful children. All were hard and difficult births. But, as Jesus uses childbirth as a metaphor, you really don't remember the pain. I can remember exactly how they looked when they were placed in my arms. That is a joy money cannot buy. I remember raising them, loving and nurturing them, encouraging them to be independent. I remember reading the Bible to them every night, for years and years, and church, children's ministries, youth group. And hockey, figure skating and music lessons!
And now, I have almost 6 grandchildren, the last one due next month. So I have the fun of raising them all over again. And without childbirth! Lol!
Please talk to a doctor about your fears. My daughter decided to get an epidural, a spine block, as soon as she goes into labour. My DILs both had natural births, my youngest son's wife said the babies just popped out in a matter of hours, with almost no pain. My other DIL is an ob-gyn. She has seen her share of bad deliveries. But she said she wasn't worried about pain, she knew there was a lot of options for pain, although she didn't use them.
Of course, in the end, it is your choice, if you don't want children. But childbirth pain should never be the deciding factor!
Hello. Please reseach Dr. Breggin's work regarding psychiatry. Dr. Breggin who is a Harvard trained psychiatrist, advises the greatest caution. Great danger lurks therein.I never wanted children. I was brought up in foster care by my
aunt. My real mum had schizophrenia. From a young age I remember
social workers discussing me, telling my aunt it can be hereditary. That
often great stress or hormonal changes or puberty, pregnancy can trigger
the trait.
I therefore grow up determined I would never have children, both for
my sake and theirs.
Not sure how correct that all is, I think it is to some degree but there are a
lot of unknowns too.
Anyway just as well I decided not to have children as I never married anyway.
Oh and as for dirty diapers, that’s not just a childhood issue. Elderly have
problems with Incontinance too!
