Predestination can only be executed with the ability to see the future, i.e. the end result.

Let's assume in the beginning, God planned to create x number of people, knowing how each of us would turn out based on our actions in response to His.

Being able to see the end before creation, He chose to proceed with it because the end result brings Him, and fairly: us, pleasure.

Thus we are predestined in that we were allowed to come into existence and manifest our individual free will which He foresaw. He knows which one of us would become Y'Shua, He knows which of us will be elect, He knows which of us will finish with mediocrity, which of us will never get it without seeing His face, etc.
What we become is what we individually must become, in order to understand the power of free will and how to executed it without chaos. We get to choose that "what", and He predestined us when He allowed it.
Trying to escape your free will is actually a manifestation of your free will.

Example (pardon the liberties Father): "If I make these particular x billion people, my idea of a perfect son will arise from them in the year ~4000. And the maximum number of others who can as a result become His elect "bride" will do so within the next y number of years. That'll work. Let there be..."

A cosmic rapist would be a god who created any human being with the foreknowledge that he or she would eventually become eternal torture fodder, even if by choice of free will, and to somehow say the plan "is good."

I submit that if "John Doe" were doomed to eternal torment before he was created, he would not have been created by the Elohim I know as YHWH.
As far as a certain number of "elect", "lost", etc., well that was up to each of us before we were "spawned".
Each of us can say: "Before Abraham was, I am" we just don't think about it.
I submit that if it were necessary for any number of others to have been created for the purpose of suffering, so that the rest could be saved, He went with the smallest possible number, which meant the cream of the crop: Y'Shua. In a perfect plan their is no necessity for billions to go to eternal torment, nor be annihilated.
"...to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind..."

Since we are able and commissioned to believe in the most righteous God who's perfect will is to be done, what holds us back?
Tradition? Mistranslated words and symbols made into graven images?
What is your image of YHWH?

All of us are "raped" spiritually by each other, not YHWH. But most do dare to accuse Him and call Him "deceiver." Even rapist.

I used to be a staunch pre-destinationist, thinking that God ordained all that He was going to saved from the beginning of time, the foundations of the world. Thus, He ordained all those who would be thrown into the lake of fire. If this the case, wouldn't this make God out to be a cosmic rapist? In that He forces the pre-destined ones to love Him? Is this what Love is?

Well this error of thinking is in direct conflict with these passages; 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4,
1Timothy 4:10, Ezekiel 18:32, Ezekial 33:11, John 3:11.. I could suggest more verses, but I'm becoming hostile to long posts.

So what is Paul saying in Ephesians 1:4?
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

My attempt to answer this lies in 1 Peter 1:20
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

It was Christ who was pre-destined to be the one elected to bring salvation to the world, from the very beginning, the foundation of the world. Therefore everyone who's heart turns toward God and authentically repents and believes in Christ in faith that grace brings is brought into the election. Thus Christians are called the elect and the election because of what the ONE elect did for us, not because he hand picked us from a line up, and we become part of the heavenly family.

To say that God picks those for His elect for eternal life is the same as saying that God picks and chooses those who don't believe to hell. Does God send people to hell? Or do people send themselves to hell because they chose not to have a relationship with God. If someone chose not to have a relationship with God, and God forces them into a relationship, would that person be happy in heaven with a relationship he never wanted to begin with? No. Loves us so much that He lets us Chose one way or the other. God shows the un-believer love by granting him what he/she wants, separation from God.

2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:4
(God our savior)4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

1 Timothy 4:10
10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

Ezekiel 18:32
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”

Ezekiel 33:11
11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

John 3:11
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (Notice it doesn't say "but the elect through Him might be saved")

I really got to think about if this question is appropriate for CC. I think it could be offences to Christians and I would also suggest to God in showing a lack of Reverence to God with the title of "Cosmic rapist". I am not sure this is edifying or appropriate Could you change the title ? and think of something other than Rapist in context to a Holy God ?
