More specifically:

1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

The key words are "cannot go on" meaning they can't continue living in sin. It implies that one sins less and less as they continue in Christ. Not that they just stop sinning cold turkey the moment they're saved.

🍉
Different translations render it differently.

King James Bible
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

New King James Version
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

I would agree. I heard the testimony of a man who before being saved was a drug addict and lived by robbing houses. After he was saved he no longer took drugs or robbed houses. That does not mean he lives a life of sinless perfection, if anyone claims to be without sin he is a liar, it means he repented of the lifestyle of drug addiction and robbery. Now he works for a living. God Bless :)

And this does NOT mean once one becomes born again they walk in absolute perfection like Jesus walked in.

It should however mean it's a rare occurrence in the Christians life that they commit sin and if they do it's not a situation where they know something is sinful and they decide to do it anyway.

Those that claim to be "christian sinners" who sin everyday in though word and deed... are deceived calvinists, reformed theology peoples, and OSAS adherents!

That is neither the point nor the purpose of God's Grace. God's grace provides for salvation, repentance, and forgiveness.

1 John 2:1
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”

Romans 8:1
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Walking in the Light does not imply sinless perfection. We do our best, repent when we err, and leave the rest to the Lord.

A righteous person has forgiveness thru grace for the soul but there are consequences for the body such as sickness and death.

No. God's grace provides for salvation, not sinless perfection. God's grace also provides the opportunity for repentance, which we should practice daily.

Ephesians 4:26
“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”

We should not allow even righteous anger to result in wrath, but if it does, we can and should immediately repent.

Someday we shall live in a sinless state, but that is yet to come. Plead the blood of Jesus.
Amen brother! 1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, (past tense) we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

So the Lord let's people sin all they want and still go to Heaven but... He might just slap come covid on them? Maybe a little cancer?

I think it helps, though sometimes God doesnt remove that thorn in our side and it still hurts to reminds us, or its actually our cross to bear.

We need to die to sin, though our flesh protests

The thorn in Paul's side was a messenger of satan... it was the devil doing that not the Lord.

The Lord sometimes does not remove the thorn is what I am saying...Paul asked three times and God didnt do it, though we dont know if Paul asked a fourth time and He did.

Paul was dealing with a sin because Grace was apparently needed.
2 CORINTHIANS 12:7 Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself!

In the great commission... Jesus said those that believe will cast out devils.

Jesus never said to go ask God to remove the devil... which is what Paul was doing.

The Lord told Paul that what he received by grace was more than enough for Paul to cast the devil out... by grace we have become new creatures IN CHRIST so we have the authority to speak in Jesus; Name, in His Authority and cast 'ol slewfoot out.

Read the last part of the Book of Acts and see where Paul lived in his own rented house preaching God's Word with NO man forbidding him!

Apparently Paul eventually learned that he needed to cast the devil out of his life so put an end to satanic interference with the ministry God had called him to

Mark 16:17,18
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
they will move devils out of the way; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover

Contrary to popular belief, Paul had to learn and grow just like the rest of us.
He was not perfect like Jesus was.

It was the devil that sent the messenger, not God.

The Lord teaches His children by His Word and the Holy Spirit... not by sending demons to attack us and work in opposition to what the Lord has called us to do.

We know this because God is not schizophrenic where He calls someone to go do something and then tries to stop him from doing it.

1 Samuel 16:14 Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him.

1 Kings 22:21-23
21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.
22 And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
23 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

So when the Lord said thru Paul that... it was a MESSENGER OF SATAN.... you think this means God sent the messenger?

Sure back in the day there were occasions when the Lord came against those that were in rebellion towards the Lord... the Apostle Paul was not in opposition to the Lord!

No, Paul was out preaching the gospel as the Lord had instructed him to go do... it's foolishness to think God calls someone to go do something then He tries to stop them from doing it!

Neither was Job in opposition. And God used Satan to bring Job into a deeper and more intimate relationship with Himself.
God chose Moses to lead His people. Then He sent him to the backside of the desert for 40 years to train him.
And God used Satan to work humility into the Apostle Paul.
Humility seems to be a quality in short supply these days.

Neither was Job in opposition.
Jesus said in Revelation 21:8 the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.

So, we know being in fear and being afraid and cowardly is a sin according to Jesus because those doing this will be thrown in to hell.

In the story about Job, you'll notice that when the devil is talking to God he mentions that God had placed a hedge of protection around Job which is why the devil could not touch him up till that point.

Job 3:25
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

And, in the story you'll notice it says job kept doing the same sacrifice again and again because he was in fear that his children would curse God. (see Job 3:25)

This establishes that Job was actually having a sin problem in his life because he was in fear. Because of this sin, satan has a right to come against Job which is why the hedge of protection was removed by the Lord because if we live after the flesh (sin) we reap corruption (Gal 6:7,8)

The devil did not even know the hedge was broken until the Lord told the devil was Job was in his hands already and the Lord limited satan so he could not kill Job.

Before Jesus Christ went to the cross and was resurrected in victory, the devil had the right to go before the Lord’s throne in Heaven which was based upon the authority God had given to Adam (let man have dominion – see Genesis 1:26-28).

After the cross the devil cannot go in to the third Heaven where the Father’s throne is anymore like he used to be able to do under the old covenant, not after Hebrews 9 where Jesus used His own Blood and cleansed the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than those of bulls and goats as under the old covenant.

The attack on Job was limited by the Lord and stopped when Job did a sacrifice in faith for his friends which would have been when he got back on track and was no longer in fear and this is when the hedge of protection from the Lord went back up protecting Job and you’ll notice in the story that Job did quite well after that because of the blessing of the Lord.

The Lord called Job righteous because the sin Job did by being in fear was something that was done in ignorance at the time. The Lord says in Romans 4:15 where no law is, there is no transgression.

Just like Paul found mercy in the eyes of the Lord because his sin was done in ignorance. (1 Timothy 1:13). Since Job was heart right before the Lord and did not have the entire Word of God in his hands to study like we do today, the Lord had mercy on Job and considered him to be a righteous man.

The reason being ignorant for us today doesn’t last for very long as a new born babe in Christ is simply because the Lord has provided us with the whole counsel of God in written form and He has sent the Holy Spirit to be our Teacher to lead and guide us in to ALL Truth and take what belongs to Jesus and will show it unto us (John 16:13-15). Jesus said that God’s Word IS Truth (John 17:17)

In Luke 12:48, Jesus said For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. More is required of us since the Lord has given us far more to work with than what Job had in his day.

Christians are called to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7), and those not doing this will experience what Job experienced because they aren’t abiding IN CHRIST which gives the devil an open door in to their lives due to the hedge of protection the Lord has provided to not be protecting them. The Lord’s protection is only applicable to those that are IN CHRIST

Humility seems to be a quality in short supply these days.
False humility claims God uses the devil as an attack dog to supposedly teach His children.... this is a satanic deception designed to get people to lay down so the demons can walk all over them and keep them in defeat.

Jesus said the Holy Ghost would lead us in to ALL Truth (John 16:13),
and Jesus said God's Word IS Truth (John 17:17)

Romans 8:14
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

But hey.... if you think laying down under satanic oppression is going to help you be closer to the Lord... go right ahead! Know thy self out!

You are excellent at changing what people write to misrepresent others. That's called being a false witness.
You also use incendiary language to make yourself look better, and demean others. That isn't esteeming others better than yourself...not exactly acts of love or evidence of one led of the Spirit. Neither do I see your actions depicting love, peace or joy, not to mention goodness, gentleness, and or self control. These would surely be evidenced in one walking under the Spirit's direction. Who's fooling who?

People make these claims frequently when their viewpoint doesn't agree with what the Lord says in His Word.

I simply posted a bunch of stuff from God's Word related to Job's situation... nobody is forcing you to believe what the Lord says in His Word.
