Okay so yes the unsaved will suffer in the lake of fire forever. Idk mmaybe it's just the awful story I heard about some guy who beat his gf with a hammer while she tried to stop him from messing with her 8yr old girl, but I just feel pretty rotten about everything right now. God makes no sense.

so you want the guy to be in heaven with the gf and the 8 year old?

God makes sense, we just don't always understand His will.

so you want the guy to be in heaven with the gf and the 8 year old?

Okay I'm not really sure how I should answer that. I don't think it's right to say I want a specific person to go to hell. Anyways I don't know

Not sure if I completely got it but I have heard about the 144,000. I just never knew much about what they were. You say that only the 144, 000 have immortality...why don't the other Christians recieve this?

Revelation 14 clearly identifies the 144,000 as "bought from the earth". They were humans...chosen for a specific task....rulership in heaven with Jesus. What government has more rulers than people? They are Kings and Priests (Rev 20:6) Kings need subjects and priests need sinners to intercede for.

All humans have a desire to live in paradise. We were supposed to live there forever...never dying. Adam robbed us of that. Christ came to get it back for us.

The desire to live in paradise should not be confused with the desire to live in heaven. That desire has to be implanted by holy spirit. Only the 'chosen ones' have that desire. Those who will be their subjects have no such desire, but welcome the idea of being ruled by this righteous government that will restore paradise conditions to the earth. Isn't that what all people want?...good government. Do we ever get it? When is it ever NOT spoiled by corruption under the present arrangement?

Humans were never designed to rule themselves....power does something horrible to us. We were designed to be ruled by God, but Adam chose the devil to be his ruler.
In order for humans to experience the full consequences of his choice, we have had to live with the devil's rulership ever since. (1 John 5:19)

The kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will "come" and take satan's rulership away, along with all who support it. (Dan 2:44) Then God's rulership will replace it and rectify all that is wrong with the world. (Rev 21:1-4)

There were a specific number chosen to make up this Kingdom government that will guide mankind back to the perfection we should have had at the start. It will take a 1,000 years to undo all the damage caused by the rebellion of Adam and also of satan. Both the spirit realm and the earthly realm of God's creation will be cleansed of all rebels, free will can be retained and God's will can' be done on earth as it is in heaven'.....mission accomplished!

God has allowed this time to give humans the opportunity to make the choice of whom they will worship and how they will do that.

Satan has set up a multitude of religions all over the world.... all claiming to be the way to God. The Father has allowed us to fully experience the results of these institutions in the nations where they dominate, and see what has resulted from their way of worship. What is their 'fruitage'? (Matt 7:16-20)

It was foretold that an apostasy would corrupt Christianity (Acts 20:29, 30) and that is what we have seen. How many "Christian" denominations are there who all claim to teach the truth? How can you tell if any of them are right? If Jesus said 'look at their fruits', then we should look at the kind of people they produce. The identifying marks of true Christians are "love" and "peace". They would also be obeying Christ's teachings...not just picking the convenient ones and ignoring the rest. (Matt 4:4)

They would also be carrying on the work Jesus assigned for them before he left....that of 'preaching the good news of the kingdom in all the inhabited earth'. (Matt 28:19, 20; 24:14) This would be done right up until the end of the present age. (Rom 10:13-15)

Most of the "Christian" denominations have watered down Christ's commands and see no real or urgent need to preach. (2 Tim 4:1, 2) Many go to church these days to be entertained, not taught the Bible. (John 17:3)

Homosexuality is not only tolerated but welcomed by some churches. (Lev. 18:22; 20:13; Rom. 1:26, 27, 32; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10; 1 Tim. 1:9, 10.) It is not homosexuals that God hates...it is their perverted activity.

Some presume that they can be 'saved' by simply 'believing on the Lord Jesus', and still sin with impunity.(James 2:19) Big mistake!

Others think that a Christian can take up weapons and kill their 'enemies'. (Matt 5:44; 2 Pet 3:14) A true Christian has to "love" them. How do you do that with a weapon?

There is so much more to being a Christian than just thinking that you are. Many are going to come to disappointment. (Matt 7:21-23)

Knowledge is everything. You have to KNOW your God and his Christ, and you also have to KNOW your adversary and his tactics. (Eph 6:11)

Luke 22:35-38
New King James Version (NKJV)

35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?”

So they said, “Nothing.”

36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37 For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’[a] For the things concerning Me have an end.

38 So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.”

And He said to them, “It is enough.”

The more Molly posts, the more I believe she is a Jehovah's Witness.

The only thing I know about Jehovah's Witness is they believing something about the 144,000 and baptists hide when they knock at their door lol so yeahh....idk

No worries.
You know what's funny to me is that this is all there in the Bible but hardly anyone acknowledges it. It fights with their indoctrination about everyone going to be with Jesus in heaven. They are so intent on their own salvation that nobody has a clue what they are actually going to do there.
If all Christians go to heaven and all the others go to hell, then why are they called kings and priests? Who do they rule? Who do they perform their priestly duties for?

With the arrangement that operated within the nation of Israel, we see what the duties of the priests entailed. The priests were there to offer sacrifices and to intercede on behalf of the people. They were to teach the people God's laws and to help them to become reconciled to God when sin came between them and Him.
We see what position the High Priest had and the duties he performed. It was pictorial of the heavenly priesthood who would guide and direct the worship of the people on earth.

The High Priest is Jesus Christ who offered his life in sacrifice once for all time, eliminating the need for ongoing animal sacrifices. He and the other priests will have the job of instructing the people in God's ways and interceding for them if they falter on the road to perfection. As kings, they will rule mankind with fairness and justice, which is so sadly lacking today.

Speaking of the rule of Jesus as king, Isaiah says in prophesy....

"And he will not judge by any mere appearance to his eyes, nor reprove simply according to the thing heard by his ears. And with righteousness he must judge the lowly ones, and with uprightness he must give reproof in behalf of the meek ones of the earth. And he must strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the spirit of his lips he will put the wicked one to death. And righteousness must prove to be the belt of his hips, and faithfulness the belt of his loins." (Isaiah 11:3-5)

The wicked are not tortured...they are "put to death".

Along with that righteous rulership will be the benefits of the wonderful earthly paradise as Isaiah explains in the next verses....

"And the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. 7 And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. 8 And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. 9 They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea."
(6-9)

This is talking about the earth. Can you embrace it?

Since everlasting life is only granted to the righteous, then why would God torment people in hell forever? Wouldn't God have to give everlasting life also to the wicked to do that?

Hell (sheol, hades) is simply the grave. People "rest in peace" in that place. Isn't that what we read on tombstones? (Eccl 9:5, 6, 10)

Those to whom God grants a resurrection will live again...those who have sinned unforgivably, will never live again. It is not more complex than that. God's justice never demands torture. Punishment was always administered with a view to rehabilitation. Who can be rehabilitated in a place from which they can never escape the punishment? Does that sound like justice to you?

Death is death. It is the opposite of life. There is no immortal soul that departs the body at death...that was a notion adopted by the early "church" from pagan Greek teachings. The rot set in a long time ago.

Christianity has indeed been corrupted by the "teachings of demons". (1 Tim 4:1) God has been woefully misrepresented by those who have themselves been misled, to teach lies about God and about who he is.
Jesus is not God and never was. He is the son of God who willingly laid down his life to save yours and mine. Jesus never once said he was God in the flesh. He was sent by God, so how could he BE God?

There is one truth and those who are not happily hoodwinked by the devil will find it. (2 Thess 2:9-12)

The truth will strike a chord in your heart and you will find yourself drawn to it. (John 6:44)

Blessings to you selenah. (I hope you are looking up all the scriptures)

P.S. Just to address this off topic point if I may....my previous post was not advocating pacifism as such. It was simply stating that Christians were admonished by Jesus himself to 'love their enemies'.
When a government tells its subjects to do something that God forbids, what should they do? Acts 5:29 answers...“We must obey God as ruler rather than men." What does God's word say? "You must not murder" (Exodus 20:13)
Murder is the unlawful taking of a human life. What war is fought that does not take innocent lives? Today's weapons are not target specific. God has never sanctioned the killing of innocent people. Governments are authorised to put evildoers to death if necessary, but they are not permitted to kill the innocent.
"Collateral damage" is a term used to justify the killing of innocent people in a war, but from God's view it is murder.
If you'd like to discuss this further, feel free to open another thread.

sorry you mentioned pacifist and I was showing you that Jesus told his disciples to buy a sword.

But he rebuked Peter when he used it. What is that telling you?

It was demonstrating that even though they were armed, they would not resort to violence.

The only thing I know about Jehovah's Witness is they believing something about the 144,000 and baptists hide when they knock at their door lol so yeahh....idk

Jesus said that his true disciples would be hated and persecuted.Google the persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Who are preaching the good news of God's kingdom in all the inhabited earth the same way that Jesus and his disciples did? (Acts 5:42;20:20)

I am presuming that there are a lot of different denominations represented on this site. Who has the truth?

That is for each person to decide for themselves. It's not about labels...it's about truth. There can only be one.

flag on the play, no sinners in Heaven or in the NEW Earth, yet there will still be priests praising God....

notice how she makes the distinction between heaven and paradise....lets see where this rabbit trail leads....

AnandaHya, I am merely presenting a different perspective. You are free to disagree, but please read the scriptures I cite.

You are correct that there are no sinners in heaven because they have paid sin's wage...death. They have left their mortal sin laden bodies behind in order to take their positions in heaven to rule with Christ.

Those who are resurrected back to the earth are still in their mortal bodies. It will take a 1,000 years of Christ's rule to eliminate sin completely so that God can again take the reigns after Christ has accomplished his mission. That is what the rule of the kingdom is for.

and that is why I don't bother reading most of her posts... she doesn't believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh....
You are free to believe this pagan teaching but Jehovah is God alone. He shares his godship with no one. The Jews never believed that God was a triune being. Jesus was a Jew and he never once altered that notion. The first Christians never believed in a three in one godhead, but you will find them throughout paganism.

the rest of her post seemed ok. the main hook was who Jesus is and that you need sinners to have priest and "followers" to be kings false duality...

sounds almost Mormon...

Again it is about truth, not labels.

Refute with scripture, not empty rhetoric and finger pointing....OK?

The first Christians never believed in a three in one godhead, but you will find them throughout paganism.

Early Trinitarian Quotes
http://carm.org/early-trinitarian-quotes

There are cult groups (Jehovah's Witnesses, The Way International, Christadelphians, etc.) who deny the Trinity and state that the doctrine was not mentioned until the 4th Century until after the time of the Council of Nicea (325). This council "was called by Emperor Constantine to deal with the error of Arianism [see page 45] which was threatening the unity of the Christian Church."
The following quotes show that the doctrine of the Trinity was indeed alive-and-well before the Council of Nicea:

Polycarp (70-155/160). Bishop of Smyrna. Disciple of John the Apostle.
"O Lord God almighty... I bless you and glorify you through the eternal and heavenly high priest Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, through whom be glory to you, with Him and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever" (n. 14, ed. Funk; PG 5.1040).

Justin Martyr (100?-165?). He was a Christian apologist and martyr.
"For, in the name of God, the Father and Lord of the universe, and of our Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, they then receive the washing with water" (First Apol., LXI).

Ignatius of Antioch (died 98/117). Bishop of Antioch. He wrote much in defense of Christianity.
"In Christ Jesus our Lord, by whom and with whom be glory and power to the Father with the Holy Spirit for ever" (n. 7; PG 5.988).
"We have also as a Physician the Lord our God Jesus the Christ the only-begotten Son and Word, before time began, but who afterwards became also man, of Mary the virgin. For ‘the Word was made flesh.' Being incorporeal, He was in the body; being impassible, He was in a passable body; being immortal, He was in a mortal body; being life, He became subject to corruption, that He might free our souls from death and corruption, and heal them, and might restore them to health, when they were diseased with ungodliness and wicked lusts." (Alexander Roberts and James Donaldson, eds., The ante-Nicene Fathers, Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1975 rpt., Vol. 1, p. 52, Ephesians 7.)

Irenaeus (115-190). As a boy he listened to Polycarp, the disciple of John. He became Bishop of Lyons.
"The Church, though dispersed throughout the whole world, even to the ends of the earth, has received from the apostles and their disciples this faith: ...one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them; and in one Christ Jesus, the Son of God, who became incarnate for our salvation; and in the Holy Spirit, who proclaimed through the prophets the dispensations of God, and the advents, and the birth from a virgin, and the passion, and the resurrection from the dead, and the ascension into heaven in the flesh of the beloved Christ Jesus, our Lord, and His manifestation from heaven in the glory of the Father ‘to gather all things in one,' and to raise up anew all flesh of the whole human race, in order that to Christ Jesus, our Lord, and God, and Savior, and King, according to the will of the invisible Father, ‘every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess; to him, and that He should execute just judgment towards all...'" (Against Heresies X.l)

Tertullian (160-215). African apologist and theologian. He wrote much in defense of Christianity.
"We define that there are two, the Father and the Son, and three with the Holy Spirit, and this number is made by the pattern of salvation... [which] brings about unity in trinity, interrelating the three, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are three, not in dignity, but in degree, not in substance but in form, not in power but in kind. They are of one substance and power, because there is one God from whom these degrees, forms and kinds devolve in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit." (Adv. Prax. 23; PL 2.156-7).
Origen (185-254). Alexandrian theologian. Defended Christianity and wrote much about Christianity.

"If anyone would say that the Word of God or the Wisdom of God had a beginning, let him beware lest he direct his impiety rather against the unbegotten Father, since he denies that he was always Father, and that he has always begotten the Word, and that he always had wisdom in all previous times or ages or whatever can be imagined in priority... There can be no more ancient title of almighty God than that of Father, and it is through the Son that he is Father" (De Princ. 1.2.; PG 11.132).

"For if [the Holy Spirit were not eternally as He is, and had received knowledge at some time and then became the Holy Spirit] this were the case, the Holy Spirit would never be reckoned in the unity of the Trinity, i.e., along with the unchangeable Father and His Son, unless He had always been the Holy Spirit." (Alexander Roberts and James Donaldson, eds., The Ante-Nicene Fathers, Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1975 rpt., Vol. 4, p. 253, de Principiis, 1.111.4)

"Moreover, nothing in the Trinity can be called greater or less, since the fountain of divinity alone contains all things by His word and reason, and by the Spirit of His mouth sanctifies all things which are worthy of sanctification..." (Roberts and Donaldson, Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. 4, p. 255, de Principii., I. iii. 7).

If, as the anti-Trinitarians maintain, the Trinity is not a biblical doctrine and was never taught until the council of Nicea in 325, then why do these quotes exist? The answer is simple: the Trinity is a biblical doctrine and it was taught before the council of Nicea in 325 A.D.
Part of the reason that the Trinity doctrine was not "officially" taught until the time of the Council of Nicea is because Christianity was illegal until shortly before the council. It wasn't really possible for official Christian groups to meet and discuss doctrine. For the most part, they were fearful of making public pronouncements concerning their faith.

Additionally, if a group had attacked the person of Adam, the early church would have responded with an official doctrine of who Adam was. As it was, the person of Christ was attacked. When the Church defended the deity of Christ, the doctrine of the Trinity was further defined.
The early church believed in the Trinity, as is evidenced by the quotes above, and it wasn't necessary to really make them official. It wasn't until errors started to creep in that councils began to meet to discuss the Trinity, as well as other doctrines that came under fire.

Would there not be priests to praise, to do service unto God, with Jesus being the High Priest leading us all in praising God?

Jesus said that his true disciples would be hated and persecuted.Google the persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses.

To say that Jesus is the brother of Satan,
To say that Jesus is the archangel Michael,
To say that only they, like the Catholic church, can interpet the Bible,
To say salvation must be earned,
To say that we will be gods when we join Jesus in Heaven,
To say that Jesus is a god,

that would make one a true disciple of Jesus?

No worries.
You know what's funny to me is that this is all there in the Bible but hardly anyone acknowledges it. It fights with their indoctrination about everyone going to be with Jesus in heaven. They are so intent on their own salvation that nobody has a clue what they are actually going to do there.

Yeah I still believe that war is necessary and Christian should fight when they have to. Anyways this is waaaaaaaaaay off point lol so I'll save that for another thread sometime.

I'm usually pretty open minded.......so much so that sometimes my brain falls out. Okay never mind bad joke. Anyways I usually am pretty open minded, but I have trouble accepting that Jesus was not God. I can waver on what hell is, what happens when we die, are works required for salvation, and other issues but I think the Bible definitly says that Jesus is God. Jesus said He and the Father were one. I don't see how that doesn't support the trinity.

When you say Jesus is not God, I have trouble accepting the other things you say because you say Jesus will only be a high priest on the new earth:confused:
