Is hell forever?

again, selenah, hell is not the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 clearly states this...

"and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death"

and for everyone concerned, red33 has the basic misunderstanding that popular Christianity teaches today. Biblical Christianity taught things a bit differently during the time of the apostles and the anti-Nicene church era.

Ponder upon the following:

everlasting life
God is eternal
Jesus' reign will be into the ages of the ages

If forever is implied in these three instances, why not then to Hell?
 
Hi Selena,

All will be Saved, Our Father has a Great Plan for everyone. You will find a lot of confusion,
and disagreement on what happens to someone after they die, The Judgement, Hell, Heaven,etc.

Christians can't hardly agree on any one thing. Ask The Lord to show you the answer to your questions,
He will ya know.


Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I don't know it's just so incredibly saddening to think about the FOREVER aspect. Forever is forever, not ten, a hundred, or a thousand years. How can anyone be happy when so many are going to be in darkness forever. I can never be happy knowing that.

I can promise you it won't be that way.

God is Love first and foremost, Please Remember that always.

Is it not of their own choosing? Where God is not, there is the opposite. If one chooses not the Light, then there is darkness.

Go and save them from such.

Why would you say such a thing, Because I believe God is Love?
Or because I believe God when He said it was Very Good?

Or Because I believe that All will be saved? Is this what your basing your
judgement of me on?

Makes no difference, I still believe those things anyhow.

Yeah I'm kind of unsure because I've always been told that hell is eternal. Like if I say that I don't think hell is eternal people will be like "Ahhh! You're so blind and going to hell!" But then I honestly don't think God could let hell be forever for people. I don't know I feel bad like I'm betraying everything I've always been taught but then the whole concept of eternal hell really really bothers me.

I had to walk away from church, family, friends, co workers, job..........much.
I know how you feel, but you have to decide if you want to be pleasing to God or to men.
Truth has a price sweety.

It just depends on how bad you want absolute Truth and what are you willing to let go of,
to get it.
All things are possible through God.

Remember Jesus said.


Luk 14:26 If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers and sisters, and besides, even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
Luk 14:27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me, he cannot be My disciple.
Luk 14:28 For who of you desiring to build a tower does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has the things to finish;
Luk 14:29 that having laid a foundation, and not having strength to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him,
Luk 14:30 saying, This man began to build, and did not have strength to finish.


We must count the cost. How strong is the "wanting to know Truth" within you?

May I suggest that you do not base it upon your or another's feelings or thoughts but on God's word only.

BTW: your salvation is not based on your knowledge of Hell. It is based on your faith in Christ.

May I suggest you yourself read the Word, and from there and there along, form your believe. I am sure 2knowhim will agree to this sort of wisdom?

One way to get over this feeling is to recognize that you still trust that God's purposes are satisfied, even if people don't stay in hell forever. Your faith in the outcome should be stronger than any of the details.

Selenah, whatever you do stay away from shroom2 and 2knowhim, they will lead you into all unrighteouness and confusion. I don't claim to know everything, but those two (and several others) specialize in deception.
They deny the deity of Jesus Christ and maintain that all will be saved, two things that are clearly contrary to the Word of God.
Keep listening to those who give you solid Biblical eveidence. You will notice that those two seem to creep up on many posts just to spew their antichristian sentiments.

it should be brought to your attention that the word "eternal", or the phrase "forever and ever" that are found in the Bible are not the most accurate interpretations of the Greek terms "anion"...

anion does not mean "forever". the word literally translated means "age"
