This is something that needs to be very carefully and emphatically said: you can't change him. People, and men especially, hate it when someone tries to change them. They resent it.
It doesn't matter how old you are or mature you think you are.
It doesn't matter how spiritually "strong" you think you are.
And - dare I say it - it doesn't matter how strong your faith is, either.
Your faith isn't going to change him.
In fact, no one's faith can change someone.
What can happen is that you can pray in faith for someone, and God can/will speak to them and work in their lives. That's where your faith comes into play. But whether or not and how they respond to His voice is entirely up to them. It's not set in stone at all, and the only way your spirituality/maturity effects the situation is how much and how fervently you pray.
Furthermore, I very strongly believe that you shouldn't even allow the idea that a "bad boy" in any sense of the word is even remotely dateable/approachable into your mind. There is no reason to open a door that leads to heartache and often even apostasy from God, and that's where these things start - in the mind and attitude
There is no feasible or safe way that you can possibly end up with a "bad boy" and it end well. Ever.
You can end up with one who's been saved and is no longer bad, but you don't seem interested in that.
She'll find out the hard way about bad boys. They rarely change their bad boy ways. She'd be better off with a man who is already saved, rather than waste her life trying to reform a bad boy who doesn't want to be changed..
The motivation of trying to change someone, in this case a bad boy, is often a mix of love, being a care giver, idealism, control, power and foolish pride.
Better to not even attempt it. Just pray. Christians work much to hard on things that is Gods Job.
Because of pragmatism, maybe laziness, and time allotment, and my observations over the years, I just give it all to God.
Let Him do the work. He is better at then me anyway. I know what He has me to do, and me changing people is not on the checklist.
