Love. And with the right person you find you can love more than you thought possible. That same person will also make being loved easier than ever.

Which kind of love are we talking about here?

"I've heard songs that spoke of love, a man for a woman
Heard songs that spoke of momma's love for me
And I've heard songs that spoke of love for planes
And people, places, cars and trains
And I thought that was all that love could be"
~Hinsons

I believe that both are about the same. I also believe that true love comes from God and is meant to be shared. A basic desire is to love and be loved.

I think it is easier to love. Perhaps it is because I tend to be a strong, independent person, but I find it hard to let someone love me and trust in that love.

To love... when you love someone it's easier to look past their flaws and love them anyways... when someone loves you..it makes you more aware of your own flaws and makes you wonder how someone could love you despite them . At least in my opinion.

Well not so much worried about it.. More like i know more then a few people get suspicious on me when i offer to help or show that i care for them... Seems to be just a part of modern day life in the western type society.. Sad but that's the way it has gone..

Oh yeah it is easier to love others...

For me, be loved. I'm still quite carefree and a tad bit oblivious, so loving and getting into a passionate relationship with someone isn't exactly No. 1 on my priorities.

So do you ever worry that somebody you show love to is suspicious of you?

No I don't. I trust my kids to love me, I trusted my mother when she was alive. I just don't trust women, I think they all lie.

It is the easiest thing in the world to be loved... with the caveat that you want to be loved by the person who is loving you. If you do not want to be loved by the one loving you, it is a nuisance.

Not as "easy" as you might think, try being about an 8 or 10 year old with a very loud high pitch squeaky voice and ask alot of questions then see how many people "love you" as opposed to being annoyed by you.

I believe you misunderstood what I wrote. I’m not the best communicator in the world, so the blame is mine. I meant it is the easiest thing in the world to accept love from a person who loves you, if you want that particular person to love you. If you do not want the person to love you, their love is a nuisance. For example, if my nephews and niece love me, it is very easy to accept their love because I want them to love me.

Well that choice isn't so easy, for someone like me either,an introvert that doesn't "feel" the emotion of love "more naturally","deflection" and "sarcasm" come "more naturally" to me after recently being saved I "feel it" more naturally but still "struggle" because of two things "my family I'm around more frequently, doesn't "express" affection or even all around "love" more of "selfishness","cursing"bitterness" and "spitefulness" comes "more naturally" to that side of my family,so it's "tough" trying "care"'or overall "love" anyone at all from that influence,no "I love yous" more of "rush and do that" or "can't you do anything right",or buy buy buy,and due to that influence I "don't care" as much as I feel I "should" or at least "want to",and no focus on "real moral values" overall.

I'm still in a quandary with your last thread, "Where is the line between insanity and creativity?" hehe

I kinda think that to genuinely love a person in a romantic relationship, you have to also be able to accept their love in return.

But unconditional love, God's perfect love, is given without expecting anything in return.

It is as easy as you decide it is. It is as unimportant as you decide it is. It is as supernatural as you decide it is. It is as cold as you decide it is.

Your post was clear, it's just that your answer is in the minority. I think you're the only one saying being loved is easier. Not that your answer is "wrong", it's a subjective topic.

Also being in the Singles forum I suspect people here naturally tend to think in regards to romantic love.
It's easier to accept love from family, or even close friends, than romantic love. At least for most people.

Yes, it is all subjective. I think it is easier to accept love than to love, regardless of the type of love. I am often in the minority. It does not bother me in the least.
