There is no place in the Word stating leavened bread is not kosher, or not allowed by the former dietary laws.

According to rabbinical teaching of the law, meat with dairy products is forbidden. Of course pork is forbidden also.

Unless a person believes God is going to cast him into the fires of the beyond for what he eats, all foods are fine, though Paul advised all not to eat things strangled, blood or that which has died of itself. I would never consider eating those things anyway, but that is just my nature.

Pizza is kosher if you believe Jesus Christ.

I read an article on answers.com that said pizza was leavened bread. If that be so, is pizza Kosher?

On a totally different rabbit trail....if you're ever in Ft Lauderdale check out Heavenly Pizza, they have decent pies and they do a weekly bible study that attracts a wide range of people.

What does kosher mean.

I believe it has to do with laws concerning the preparation of food according to jewish law....Yonah would be better qualified to answer. In the OT God told gave instructions on what was clean to eat and what was not. Many of these can be found in Leviticus 11. Hope this helps.

Pizza can be kosher. The leavened isn't the issue since leaven isn't defined as unclean by God.

As long as their isn't any pork or shellfish on it, pizza is just fine.

What does kosher mean.

"Kosher" can mean A LOT of different things depending on the standards set by man. God says that the equivalent to "kosher" is clean or unclean animals. Some Jewish traditions mean it has to be blessed by a rabbi. Some say it has to go through a very lengthy process of examination and testing to see if it's clean and disease free. Some say meat and cheese can't be prepared in the same kitchen in order to be "kosher." Some say you can't eat meat and cheese within ~8 hours of each other.

I forego all of the man-made standards and go for the simplicity of God's instructions.

When my faither-in-law was young and first saw pizza, he had to go out of the restaurant and throw up. The pizza with all different kinds of toppings on it looked to him just like someone had vomited. To this day he does not like pizza!
