I don't smoke pot I used to but I don't use any drugs

And yet here you are expressing your agreement with doing dope and advocating for doing dope which is leading others astray

This is like the liberals who claim they are Christians as they vote for liberal politicians who support abortion and the gay agenda both of which are abominations to the Lord.

I'm not advocating anything I'm suggesting using this topic that people are misunderstanding what the liberty in Christ is and specifically what is not found in the text of the Bible

I agree and things like participation in the gay lifestyle women's rights to abort are clearly delineated in the Bible as wrong numerous times yet when it comes to the marijuana plant the only reference to such a thing is God giving us the ability to use it for food which will still impart the THC High especially when cooked.

Nor am I leading anybody astray in fact somebody who is saying that it is a sin is leading somebody astray because that is not in the biblical text. I agree it's a very provocative subject and the reason that it is is as exactly as I stated it we as westerners tend to look very negatively upon any type of intoxicant the Bible does not

I challenge you to look up the ingredients used in the temple sacrifices several of them are psychotropic if not psychedelic when the high priest entered the holy of holies and all the smoke was going it's hard to imagine that with all of the herbs and psychedelic ingredients that are involved in the smoke that it did not affect them but that's a debate for another time right now you can't even see the objective fact that the Bible doesn't condemn a plant that God made and said was good and commanded us to use it at least insofar as eating it

Right nowhere in the Bible is it said do not smoke weed how many times do I have to say that you have to infer it and impose your presupposition that it's bad under the text to make it seem like it's a sin over indulgence will always be a sin but we're not talking about that we're talking about the man who comes home at the end of the day kicks on the news and smokes a joint he's not worshiping the Devil he's not advocating heavy drug use and he's not creating problems nor is he endangering himself there's no sin nothing in the Bible proves it is a sin.

Yes actually two of the three examples you have are covered in the basic Ten Commandments and in the nine which will reiterated in the New Testament

Smoking crack aside from it having potential to give you an instant heart attack is extremely extremely damaging to your body and I would use your own argument that you are harming the temple

The amount of damage from smoking a joint a night is negligible because any potential damage is quickly recovered from for example the phyla in your lungs heal within a 24 to 48 hour.

You can't use extreme circumstances to invalidate what I'm saying you would literally have to say having a glass of wine a potential intoxicant is a sin to arrive at smoking a joint a potential intoxicant is a sin

And note the "be of sober mind" it's not suggesting that intoxication is a sin in the first place but we're not there yet.

Again I don't use drugs how can you possibly understand the Bible when you don't understand what I've already told you I don't use drugs I'm not supporting other people using drugs I'm not advocating drug use I am stating it is not a sin according to the Bible all this other stuff is ridiculously not on topic because you have to impose oh you're a drunk or oh you're a stoner or other over-indulgent sinful Acts to make your point

That is not at all what I was saying for the record I don't think drug use is a good idea at all

If a drug addict reaches out for help it is very important that the person who they are dealing with understands the nature of their addiction.

For example a heroin addict reaches out to an X heroin addict because they can relate.

This rabbit hole is extremely deep and there are certain things you discover certain truths and certain evils that alter your perspective and unless cleverly handled by somebody who has been there and done that one risk not being useful at all

I wouldn't want somebody to train me in martial arts who just making it all up for regurgitating something that read in a book that is my point

Yeah really not trying to get argumentive about it, and I don't think you are either. We are hands and feet, you might be able to reach someone I couldn't and vice versa. But I've seen God move in services and people were saved and addictions fell away. God knows what each person needs.

Yes agreed my points really that if you broke your leg you'd probably rather go to a real medical doctor than to a veterinarian

I find it funny when people that engage like this don't understand the dynamic that saying that the Bible says something that they believe it says doesn't mean that it says that,

it means you think it says that and therefore if you and I were to disagree on the meaning of a verse then quoting that verse as evidence of the truth is completely irrelevant

I'm not some idiot picking my nose and smoking dope nor am I Young. My agenda in this line of questions is not for me I'm not asking so that I can learn something I'm asking so that you can learn something if you don't want to learn and expand your Horizons that's fine.

I have yet to hear anything that I haven't heard or discovered myself or once believed but I do know how I got where I'm at and who and what helped me get there

There are a lot of things I don't understand in the Bible this topic is not one of them

You know I do think I like you politically though
 
From what I understand, smoking marijuana as a teenager is known to increase the chances of psychosis, so there is a health risk with smoking it. Knowingly putting your mind and body in jeopardy to enjoy something would be sin in my estimation (I know not every teenager knows this, but if you do know and decide to smoke anyways it would be a sin I think).

I honesty think its between you and God. Because we know the substance of christ and the order of God is at hand. You cant smoke everywhere, well you can try, but its not good idea. The Fray sings about God smoking a cigarette, its secular music though, while Buddy sings about smoking marijuana/weed which is Christian, but they are not you. The Great Physician prescribes marijuana/weed all the time, so I would say do it in order with God for health reasons, judgments, laws and furtherance of Jesus Christ, our Doctor Of The Church & Health Of Our Contenance, if that be yours and your Gods will. To be blunt, no, its never been spoken in direct context in the bible but disagreeable in the body and it's members.
 
In my case, a little marijuana doesn't do anything wrong, especially when it's faithfully observed to the Lord, and as an exstension of sobriety.
But when you start to lose your sanity and question your salvation, and a voice loudly praising the evil one suddenly enters in, that's when things are certainly heading south.
God tends to let you know when you're going in the wrong direction. Things never go too well when you ignore it.
I had to learn that the hard way.
