But the liberty of Christ does not mean it's OK to get intoxicated.
Liberty in Christ means to be free from walking after the flesh, living in corruption
2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
We are supposed to be walking in the Lord's divine nature which is not smoking weed, getting drunk, or any other form of intoxication
Intoxication is a sin as this is drunkenness. This is in fact on God's list of things that cause people to not be accepted in to His Kingdom as this is walking after the flesh being one of the works of the flesh
Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9,10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
You should challenge yourself to accept what God says in His Word
