Most churches proved during Covid that physical attendance was not necessary. Also why so many not attending church want to school the churched. Disembodied extremities dont have much to offer the body.

You are only the church if you are connected to a body of believers.
Actually, God said that he had 7,000 (1 Kings 19:18, Romans 11:4).Through out the scriptures and the scriotures themselves were written to gatherings together in various places. You alone are not the church the church is the body of believers. And as the letters to the churches were written to the churches gathering at specific places ie, local gathering are the churches.
One can not have communion alone. Member of the church are compared to body parts in scripture because individuals have roles with in the body. Disembodied parts if not attached soon die. Thus the directive forsake not the gathering of yourselves together is given... as some will in the end times. The only one of you guys that are disconnected that espouses sound doctrine is Resident Alien, but even he has been a bit off as of late.
God corrected the prophet who sat in a cave saying that he is the only one. God said He had 10,000.

No. I mean you usually make sound Biblical refutations of false doctrines. Now you mostly just argue, its beem abit not your usual self.Right, so in order to have communion, people have to involve themselves with groups that teach and believe all kinds of ridiculous nonsense? This is the kind of argument I'd expect to hear from the RCC, or from a cult that wants to keep its people from straying too far. People should want good fellowship, and if they can find it great; but it shouldn't be so important that it causes a person get involved with the wrong group.
By "off" I assume you mean I don't meet Lutheran standards.
Jesus already provided us with the correct answer to this question.I hope I'm not speaking out of context, but sometimes one of the ways we should "be like Jesus" is to ask,
"Why do you test Me?" Of course, in our case, it would be more like, "Why do you seek to tear down Christianity?"
Thanks for the scripture reference. I couldnt think of it and didnt have time to look it up.Actually, God said that he had 7,000 (1 Kings 19:18, Romans 11:4).
I think that I can honestly say that I have never stepped foot in a church where Christ was truly the head.

You are welcome, and I understand. Thanks for the scripture reference. I couldnt think of it and didnt have time to look it up.
Kind of trying to do several things at once.
If such is indeed the case, then I am truly happy for you.Well that is sad. Christ is the head of my church.

I know of at least 4 other churches so there must be at least 7000 for each one that i know ofYou are welcome, and I understand.

No offense, but I find your calculations impossible to believe.I know of at least 4 other churches so there must be at least 7000 for each one that i know of
It aint about my approval.Sorry I don't measure up; I didn't realize I had to meet your approval. I actually quoted you a scripture a few posts up; I guess you missed it.
Me tooNo offense, but I find your calculations impossible to believe.
Why?
Just look at the condition of the world.
Darkness is the absence of light, and a gross darkness covers this earth.
Most churches are dead.
Deader than a doornail.
Anyhow, I am not here to argue this point...especially in that it grieves me tremendously.
It aint about my approval.
Yeah, you took a scripture and bent it to fit your defense of not being engaged with a gathering body. Which is totally not your style.
it could be worse. sometimes one and done is preferable. it depends on what is contributed.mheh
Doesn't go to church and does not remember when saved. So far back, apparently, it can't be found.
Hence this engaging thread.
And to further entice response, this is a one and done op...so far...not holding my breath
Just perfect I'd say.
You are aware that you engaged not the other way around. I would not have said one word to you but you addressed me.Well, we agree on one thing: It's not about your approval. And I couldn't care one wit about what you think "my style" is.
