When you love Jesus, you will learn about a Him and eventually you will know about d,b,r

But if you believe d,b,r but you font love Him, you are not save

Faith without is dead
Why would I love Jesus if I don't know who He is or what He has done for me? Faith come by hearing the word of God.

Some don't perfectly know who Jesus is but love Him. Like a thief on the cross, I don't know if he know that Jesus will risen from the death in the third days but he love Jesus.

Thomas one of Jesus apostle doubt that Jesus risen from the death, and he live with Jesus, learn from Jesus for 31/2 years, how much more the thief than, I am sure he don't know anything that Jesus will risen in 3 days.

But he save anyway

Paradise was simply a name for the grave.

A name for the third heaven. The heaven of heavens. The place of His hidden glorious faith .From where our help comes from that works within us new creatures who are given ears to hear his understanding. .

I don’t see enough evidence that paradise is the third heaven since we are asleep until the resurrection. It also says for three days Jesus was in the grave.

Quote
Is paradise the same thing as heaven? What is paradise?

The word "paradise" is used three times in the New Testament (ESV). Each time it refers to heaven or being in the presence of the Lord.

First, Jesus told the thief on the cross, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" (Luke 23:43). Where was Jesus going that day? To heaven. The reference to Paradise indicated that Jesus accepted the faith of the man on the cross and provided salvation to him that began that day in heaven with the Lord.

Second, Paul referred to paradise when speaking of a heavenly vision. He wrote, "And I know that this man was caught up into paradise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows" (2 Corinthians 12:3). Even Paul was not sure whether he was really in heaven or not. In either case, he described heaven as "paradise."

Third, Revelation 2:7 used the "paradise of God" as a reference to the place where believers would dwell: "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God."

End quote

This is the problem. I’m tired so I’m not going to dig deeply into this. The main problem is that it simply does not fit systemically. For that view to fit, almost all the other relevant verses have to be ignored. First paradise is not a literal place. It’s a term used for a positive outcome in general hyperlinking back to the garden of eden. Paradise means a garden. An enclosure.

Where did Jesus go when he was dead for those three days? We know it says he went and proclaimed to those of Noah’s day. Those people went to the grave which was separated into what is called Abraham’s Bosom ( paradise) and the bad side where the rich man went who was abusive towards Lazarus. The parable paints a picture of the grave separated by water.

We know also where he did not go for sure.
He for sure did not go to heaven during those three days.

John 20:17
New American Standard Bible

17 Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’”

He had not yet went to his fathers place several days after being dead and resurrected, weeks later, he went. We also know none of the dead have been to heaven yet.

Revelation 20:11-15
New American Standard Bible

Judgment at the Throne of God
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

also when something’s contains ,” I had a vision” it generally means very symbolic , no literal imagery.

So you believe there are 2 destination for the death
1. Grave
2. Abraham bosom or paradise.

Why you was say paradise and grace are the same

The sleep would seem to be the third heaven. The glorious place the storeroom of the faith of God. The spirutl unseen witness.

Three days in the heart of the earth. . a picture as a parable of three days of living sufferings. Abel the first martyr. His blood cries out from the heart of the corrupted earth longing to be clothed with the incorruptible. All die not receiving that promise.

Belly of the whale in a parallel parable the same . Not three day buried underground with no way to breath and therefore never rise .

Living sacrifice. Not dead.

The first part of the three part denonstration began in the garden of Gethsemane. . The second part of the three day demonstration the "Cross". Then the the tomb the third . .the demonstration of faith. The unseen work of Jesus and the Father finishing the mutual work of two. .

I say it’s the same because of the parable.

In the parable or Lazarus and poor man when they die they go to hades which is the grave. It’s not the same as hell. Hell is the lake of fire. KJV and many others often mistranslate it.

When we die we are dead. We are not disembodied souls but dead. Jews broke the place up into where the good sleep and where the bad sleep. As seen in that story. Abraham’s Bosom and across the great chasm of water is the bad side. Where the rich man went. This is not a literal story though but a parable showcasing justice and judgement.

We remain in the grave until the resurrection.

Acts 24:15
New American Standard Bible

15 having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

The righteous are resurrected here.

John 5:28-29
New American Standard Bible

28 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

The wages of sin is death, and that death is the second death when the body and soul is destroyed in hell the lake of fire. Those found in the book of life are resurrected to eternal life.

You should study the use of hell as given in the KJV. And btw, it’s not a parable but a true event. When a man’s name is used, take it literally.

I’ve studied it out in depth a lot. KJV is a joke when it comes to accurate translations.

The use of a name does not mean it’s not a parable. The rich man is not even given a name. It’s a parable snuck in with all the other parables. Even if it’s not a parable, it does not change anything I said. The righteous goes to Abraham’s bosom and the unrighteous goes to the side of torture.

Then at the resurrection the righteous are given eternal life and the unrighteous are destroyed in hell. The righteous then continue to live on a restored heaven and earth as the new Jerusalem comes down to earth.

Either way the thief in the cross did not go to heaven where God dwells. Jesus had not yet even went there that day or for the next several days. That’s why Jesus told her don’t cling to me.

The rich man is given not a name .The name Lazarus means God helps. He was the poor man that had the riches of the gospel . The context of the series of parables "No man can serve two teaching masters"

The rich with worldly goods man is not named it is used as a warning to us not to seek after workers with familiar spirits Like Rachel when she hid the image idols from her father .

When King Josiah found the bible the living words moved him to destroy the abomination .

2 Kings 23:24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord.

You should be careful. God used the KJV to spur on the greatest revival the world has ever seen. Would God use a joke in this manner? The greatest preachers in history believed the KJV was the word of God.

I agree, the thief went to paradise, Abraham’s bosom located in the heart of the earth. Jesus translated paradise to the third heaven as he led captivity captive. See Ephesians 4.

The rich man’s name had been blotted out of the book of life.

I don’t think God IDed the KJV anymore than any other translation. We also have the issues of Septuagint vs Masoretic vs Dead Sea Scrolls and dozens of other things. The KJV routinely translates some words wrong that no one goes by anymore. I believe even mistakes like unicorns and calling bugs insects and ect..

“I believe” is your first mistake. It doesn’t matter what you and I believe, rather what is the truth. The Septuagint is corrupt and contradicts itself in many, many places.

Believe Jesus for what? Oh yeah, that He died on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.
Who is Jesus to you ? Just a sacrifice for sin ?

Jesus is my Savior, the creator, God in the flesh, the beginning and the end. His Spirit lives within me.

Why do you ask?

This entire topic of “KJV only or KJV is best”
Is solely opinions. It’s not actually based on hard evidence from theological or historical facts. All modern bibles are flawed in its translations. We don’t even know exactly what all books were considered as scripture , and we have quotes from books we no longer have and we have books that end at different places with various lines here and there. I also believe the evidence is quite clear Jesus quoted from the Septuagint himself and that it was not merely a roman attempt at control.
This would make a really interesting thread of its own.
Sometime in 2022 I plan on beginning to really tease out the creation of the modern bible and the various bibles and accepted cannons throughout history. There has been several bibles.

There are too many threads already on the subject. I don’t want to hijack this thread.
