Sin gets its power by the law so i wouldnt suggest anyone to walk in Christ and the Old Testament.
The 10 Commandments are upheld within the New Covenant too, they are not just OT written ordinances !!!

It's called, if you don't abide in me, you will be broken off and discarded.
Even if you accept his understanding its really very simple fulfilled in one word ..love ..and there is no condemnation on top of that when we fail....

Well not a simple yes or no but at least you answered even though your understand of repentance is wrong.
You version of repentance above speaks of no change of mind, which is what repentance means.
You said you think Jesus for paying for that sin on the cross, that is part of acknowledging you sin, but is not repentance !!!

There is no condemnation for those who walk by the Spirit, and not by the flesh !!!
Those who walk by the flesh that condemnation of the law still exists, as Paul said the law still exists for the lawless, meaning those who continue to deliberately transgress it !!!
Yes that's to abide in Grace...its when folks turn back to the law (legalism) that they are cut-off from Christ ...
Ga 5:4 Ye are cut-off from Christ, ye would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace.
Yep, same penalty. Seems He might have died for nothing if our goose is still cooked when we fail to keep all the law..... which we WILL fail to do. (In case you haven't noticed, it can be proven from just our posts here...let alone, our secret lives... that we all have already done that failure a number of times.)
Sounds like you own the identity of being a sinner, unlike others who might say sin is just something they sometimes do.
No to abide in Christ is to abide in His Grace .."By grace ye stand" .. To be cut-off from Christ is to turn from grace back to self-righteousness (legalism) ...that's what the bible clearly teaches !Even though you may take it the same way, but it means to abide in Christ, and to abide in Christ means to abide in what He said and taught to do !!!
A person can not claim to be abiding in Christ while denying to keep His teachings and commands at the same time, and Jesus did not give just 1 or 2 commandments. Those two were only called the greatest because they encompass all the others, if you obey those 2 you will obey the others as well.
Trying to be justified by the Mosaic law is sin, because no man can keep all of them by themselves thus will always be guilty of sin.
In Christ however we have the Holy Spirit and His guidance to keep us walking in His morals, and by love makes it light and easy to achieve to walk in His righteousness !!!
So are you under the Ten Commandments? Why not just answer the question?
You really don't. Just check your posting history. You're as snide and unloving in your words as any of us.Even though you may take it the same way, but it means to abide in Christ, and to abide in Christ means to abide in what He said and taught to do !!!
But, you don't do that. And neither do any of the rest of us.

Only lawless ones' goose is cooked.

Do you see that our goals are similar? That through repentance a person has victory over sin, and turns from that sin? Only you and I have different methods of achieving that goal. The method I believe the Bible presents is found in identity in Christ and being made new creations. Not sin confession and repentance, that for all intents and purposes is a boast in the flesh and an oath hardly kept. No, the renewal of the mind leads to lasting change and not (like other forms of repentance and promises) just a temporary change that can only be kept for so long until the flesh grows tired.
But focus on that truth. The both of us teach repentance from sin, and victory over it. Our methods are only different.

Who is lawless but those who claim to keep a law they do not keep i.e. The law of Moses ... Who keeps God law but those that have faith that works by love?
Only grace keeps Gods laws.
The flesh is legalism ..the Spirit is "the Spirit of Grace" ..by faith alone
Ga 3:2 This only would I learn from you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?
