Derogatory? Not picky much are you. I'm entirely not politically correct. I don't have any dealings with "African Americans". It's absurd to call them that when many Americans don't even know where Africa is. I don't call Asians yellow.
So what would you call a person descended for the tribe of Judah who is female? Keep in mind that the Bible says "Jewess". Perhaps you can take that up with God.
I have the utmost respect for the people of Israel I am the opposite of a replacement theology believer as a number of my critics here will attest.
I would say she was Jewish, if I felt it was necessary as a description, instead of just saying she was a reporter...
No big deal, just enlightening. I don't call black people "African Americans" either... and I'm not "Irish American", even though I DO know where Ireland is, and have actually been there.
I was pointing out that "Jewess" is an outdated term, and considered by most to be somewhat derogatory....
I grew up in west Texas, where people of Hispanic descent were universally called the slang term "Meskins".... it was just the way people talked... even the Hispanic people called themselves that.... now, I don't use that term, because it is considered derogatory.
I'm not politically correct much, at all.... but I don't want to deliberately offend someone simply because the language is evolving, and I refuse to.
