God's eternal purpose is to bless the world through Israel. Already He has done so in measure, for "salvation is from the Jews" (John 4:22), but the fullness of future blessing is indicated in the wondrous promise of Isaiah 27:6: "In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit."

The declaration that "salvation is from the Jews” suggests our immeasurable debt to Israel. All that we have worth having has come to us through the Jews. Our Bible is a Jewish Book, and our Savior is a Jewish Savior. Let us never forget to pray for God's chosen people. It is true that Israel, today, is in the place of rejection. The nation is a secular, unbelieving (as to the claims of Scripture and their Messiah, Jesus Christ) nation; but "…at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace" (Romans 11:5). Some Jews are being saved and are becoming members of the body of Christ through faith in their Messiah.

Jews are, biblically speaking, the "chosen people of God" and dearly loved by Him. Another reason for Christians to support the nation of Israel is because of the Abrahamic
Covenant. We read of God’s promise in Genesis 12:2-3, "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless
those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you" (see also Genesis 27:29; Numbers 24:9).

One of the United States’ most worthwhile accomplishments has been its consistent regard for the plight of the Jewish nation. No nation in the history of the world has a better record of treating individual Jews with respect than does America. The same can be said for our befriending Israel as a nation. America has committed many sins for which we may well deserve judgment, but as a nation, we have been a consistent friend of the Jews and the nation of Israel, as well as a benefactor. In 1948, President Harry Truman helped persuade the United Nations to recognize Israel as a nation. Since then, the United States has contributed billions of dollars in aid to Israel.

From the biblical declarations of God's love and care for His chosen people, the nation of Israel, and from the history of nations being destroyed because of their evil dealings with God's chosen people, the Jews, Christian believers should give support to the chosen people of God. This is not to say that we support necessarily the methods they use in their relationships with the Arab nations. The Bible warned that conflict would always characterize the relations between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael. Sadly, this conflict will continue until Jesus comes back to judge the nations and sets up His 1,000-year reign of peace on earth. We must look at the "big picture” with a biblical worldview. While we do not have to support everything Israel does as a nation, we most definitely should support Israel’s right to exist. God will fulfill His promises and covenants with Israel. God still has a plan for Israel. Woe to anyone who seeks to defeat that plan; “whoever curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3).
 
I would love to go to Gaza myself and see how things actually are. I don't believe the propaganda I see from either side.

mistaken identity? go to the uss liberty survivors website. most of those guys were decorated for heroism as a result of that mistake. they idf planes were close enough for the liberty crew to see their faces but the pilots couldnt see the big american flag on the ship. i guess the pilots had other things on their minds ...... like destroying the lifeboats. Your are towing the establishment ("Mystery, Babylon The Great") line. All witnesses, i.e., survivors of this attack say is was deliberate. Also, the shooting of people in life boats is not only never a mistake, but is a war crime. An Israeli pilot even confessed that when he protested orders to "engage the ship" that he was threatened with court marshal, and prison if he did not obey orders. Regarding Wikipedia: I was recently told by a professional speaking at a Christian writers guild meeting to not quote Wikipedia as a source since it is so unreliable and politically correct.

All over Europe the Pope was called The Antichrist. This prophetic teaching (historicist) was playing havoc with the Roman church. Millions were escaping and obeying the Lord's command to "come out of her" (Rev. 18:4).


LIEola commissioned one of his Jesuits named Francisco Ribera (1537-1591) to write an opposing view. He wrote a 500 page commentary on the Book of Revelation. The main premise of his commentary was that:

(1) Antichrist was one man . . . not a dynasty.
(2) He would be an atheist or infidel.
(3) He would not be revealed until 7 years before the end of time.
(4) He would sit in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and make a covenant with the Jews.
(5) He would call himself God etc., etc.
(6) The Christians were hindering his appearance but they would be "caught up" raptured to Heaven before his appearance -- the "Left Behind" madness!!


This became the official Roman Catholic position on Antichrist. This new idea (futurism) very conveniently shifted the focus from the Papacy to some fanciful individual way off in the distant future. John Nelson Darby became its main proponent in the English speaking world.


In order to make this "prophecy" come true he had to "invent Jews" (Rothschilds) and somehow get them back to Palestine.


The mighty nation of ancient Israel perished by the Roman sword in 70 A.D., in exact fulfillment of the words of Jesus The Temple was leveled to the ground and not one stone was left upon another that was not thrown down.


Inventing "Jews" was no problem for Rome. Even at the time of Christ there was a whole nation that called themselves Jews . . . but were phonies. They were the Samaritans who lived to the north of Jerusalem. Jesus even had an interview with a Samaritan woman at a well. (Gospel of John ch. 4). One of them, Simon the Sorcerer, actually went to Rome and founded the Roman Catholic church.


Zionism began in earnest after WW I with the British Conquest of Palestine. Still, most of those Samaritan Jews were not interested in going there. After all, most of them were living comfortably in Germany and they had no interest in helping Ribera fulfill his futurism.


Hitler and WW II changed all that. In 1948, the State of Israel was declared and the survivors of the Holocaust had no where to go but to Palestine.


This set the stage for perpetual conflict....The Arabs had been living on that land for centuries and they were not about to give up their homes to help the Jesuits fulfill "Bible" prophesy.

Francisco Ribera (1537-1591) was a Jesuit doctor of theology, born in Spain, who began writing a lengthy (500 page) commentary in 1585 on the book of Revelation (Apocalypse) titled In Sacrum Beati Ioannis Apostoli, & Evangelistiae Apocalypsin Commentarij, and published it about the year 1590. He died in 1591 at the age of fifty-four, so he was not able to expand on his work or write any other commentaries on Revelation. In order to remove the Catholic Church from consideration as the antichrist power, Ribera proposed that the first few chapters of the Apocalypse applied to ancient pagan Rome, and the rest he limited to a yet future period of 3 1/2 literal years, immediately prior to the second coming. During that time, the Roman Catholic Church would have fallen away from the pope into apostasy. Then, he proposed, the antichrist, a single individual, would:

-Persecute and blaspheme the saints of God.
-Rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.
-Abolish the Christian religion.
-Deny Jesus Christ.
-Be received by the Jews.
-Pretend to be God.
-Kill the two witnesses of God.
-Conquer the world.

In Washington, President Lyndon B. Johnson had received word from the Joint Chiefs of Staff that the Liberty had been torpedoed by an unknown vessel at 9:50 am eastern time. Johnson assumed that the Soviets were involved, and hotlined Moscow with news of the attack and the dispatch of jets from the Saratoga. He chose not to make any public statements and delegated this task to Phil G. Goulding, who was an Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs at a time.

And consider that U.S.S.R. were supplying equipment to the North Vietnamese.

A possible supposition would be...

1. Israel intentionally tried to destroy the U.S.S. Liberty with the full knowledge/approval of the CIA/President of the U.S.A.
2. Russia be framed for the attack.
3. A new war front in the Mediterranean be instituted to promote arms sales and death.

One problem...the crew of the U.S.S. Liberty didn't die like they were supposed to...the Israeli's left witnesses due to their incompetence.

Consider...Korea, Vietnam, Cuban Missile Crisis, etc.

Would anyone really have shed a tear if the U.S.A. instigated hostilities towards Russia had the Liberty false flag gone as planned?

Some scary stuff. The multiple waves of attack, jamming the ships communications and planes strafing the survivors in lifeboats would seem they wanted no survivors.

The fact that Liberty survivors and other evidence say that the two hour attack in broad daylight (while flying the American flag) was deliberate proves that the true story is suppressed. It is suppressed to the point where most people are not even aware of the USS Liberty incident, much less that it was perpetrated by our so called allies the Israelis. These people are of their father the devil/not of God (see John 8:44, 47), are "anti-Christs" (see 1 John 2:18,22; 4:3; 2 John v. 7) and are therefore no friend of America or Christians.

Who are you working for? People called Jews in the Bible narrative were only a small fraction of the Israel population at that time. And even then, thousands of them (see Acts 21:20, etc.) became Christians. Have you ever tried to reconcile the idea that Israel rejected Jesus with the Christian Israelites described in Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, Acts, etc.? Who do you think James was writing to when he addressed his epistle to "...the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad" (James 1:1)? Does this sound like that nation of Christ hating Zionist Pharisees in old Palestine? And how about the epistle to the Hebrews? Written, obviously, to Hebrew-Israelites, it describes them as anything but a people who rejected Jesus. Read chapters 8-10 on the New Covenant. Promised to, and made with, "the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah" (Jer. 31:31; Heb. 8:8) it was in effect with those people---2000 years ago!

The bottom line is, Israel did not reject Jesus 2000 years ago and ever since. A lie promoted by seminary and Bible college professors it is designed to focus attention on contemporary Jews as the sole descendants of those twelve tribes. Don't fall for it. Do not support "...them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan" (Rev. 2:9: 3:9)
