God gave this world to humans...

He gave us all free will and as we see, most people choose to exercise such free will to do evil... great, hideous evil in some cases (the baby killer in chief comes to mind)

God WILL BE in charge some day... But for reasons mysterious to us all, He has not intervened in any big, miraculous way to stop all the hideous evil... he didn't stop Hitler from murdering Jews and Catholic priests and anyone else who was against his socialist agenda

God is in charge where people ask Him to be in charge.

God is in charge when something needs to happen to further His plan.

God is not in charge where people don't want him and it doesn't matter to His plan. The examples you cited are great illustrations of this.

God is in charge. It's the only thought that keeps my feet on the ground.

Why does evil exist? Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? What is the meaning of life? We will know someday.

Sad truth is, God has been ignored in this country for sometime. The evil has been chipping away at Christanity and it has been allowed to happen. Perhaps the destruction of the country is part of His plan and perhaps not. With the Godless regime in power now, the future looks bleak.

In a world of people that reject and rebel against God your idea is God is inactive?
What about the Hebrews enslaved in Egypt? They spent a long time bound in slavery, but God did eventually act.

Really according to your logic you must dismiss and disagree with much of the bible as it shows God interacting in the world. And by disagreeing with such a large portion of the bible you may as well disbelieve in the rest.
What about Sodom and Gomorrah? They rose up and existed for some time, but eventually God acted on them.

It really creates a difficulty. Act on and prevent evil, and there's no evidence anything had actually been done. The reality is if evil is prevented this world would have less belief in God. Because there would be no signs of his action.

Also the crucifixion could have never taken place, meaning humanity would still be held under the law and Christianity itself would have never existed.

People are free to choose their path. It, again, creates a difficult dynamic. Create a world of robots with no option to willingly follow, or give people the freedom to act and let their desire to follow be a personal choice. And personal choice creates a stronger connection than having no choice.

I believe God was with the Allied forces to stop Hitler. The victory of D-Day was a miracle in itself.

It’s sad to see that the obvious is again overlooked on a Christian website. We are the Body of Christ! We are God on Earth! This is why we are saved! We were bought, slaves to righteousness, with the blood of the Lamb. We are restored to the Almighty to serve Him. We are the hands, feet, and voice of God. If you see injustice, fight it! If you see children being hurt, protect them. We are conduits of His power, receiving direction through the Holy Spirit. Step up and step out of your comfort zones. Be generous, it’s God’s money. Be helpful, God gave you gifts to serve. Be kind, show compassion. Put others ahead, the last will be first. But before that, shut up and quit blaming God for your laziness. He died to unite us. He’s sharing His inheritance and all we can do is blame Him for our unwillingness to serve.

No evil has happened or will ever happen without God allowing it to happen..

God is definitely in control of the world and the universe.. He has decided to be long suffering towards us because of His plan to Redeem His creation.. All the way along History God has been in control.. To say He is not in control is declaring God lacks the power to control.. If God lacked the Power of control of His creation then one would be justified in not believing He was the true God..

One of my pastors said that the only thing promised is eternal life; God didn't promise anything else.

Semantics.
Certainly if one believes in free will, then this would imply that God has release a certain amount of control in the world. Does that mean God is not "in charge"? Maybe. The fact that we all have an evil nature and we're forced to fight against our nature in order to do anything good implies that He probably gave up a lot when He allowed us free will.

In addition to that the Bible talks about satan as being the prince of this world. This implies a certain amount of control. And I do think that this control is evidenced by all the evil we see in the world today.

I totally agree that God intervenes on the Earth by the actions of His people. That's why we're called to fight against evil.

But before that, shut up and quit blaming God for your laziness.
Bravo!! Thread winner! I could not agree more!

I believe God was with the Allied forces to stop Hitler. The victory of D-Day was a miracle in itself.

I read a book years ago (forget the title and author now but the author was a well known preacher in England) and it is about how Christians came together while Germany was bombing England and how they entreated God together and asked that the bombing stop and the inevitable invasion that would have come after the bombing.

They believe that God turned the tide because there is absolutely no reason that Hitler would not have invaded England, In fact, he should have invaded but he made mistake after mistake...such as invading Russia

Personally, I think God is still waiting on Christians in this country to get serious...He is able!

I believe your viewpoint is called 'deism'. It is not biblical, meaning it contradicts the Bible.

I did not see "God does not intervene at all in His creation" in that post. That would be deism.

Oh no doubt. The miracles that took place in the Revolutionary war, Civil war, and WW2 are quite amazing. Probably more in other wars but I have only studied in depth these 3.

I also read about how the founding fathers all coming together at the same time was miraculous.

Agree. It was observed by Benjamin Franklin who actually being probably the least religious founding father called for prayer and acknowledgment on God's intervention in the war. After days of heated debates, in prayer, they found unity and the ability to pass the Constitution.
