Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and the propitiation for our sins. He is the means by which God the Father propitiated the problem of our sins for himself. Jesus died for our sins, God inflicted all consequence for our sins on Jesus.

Romans 3:24-26 KJV
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

1 John 2:2 KJV
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Something I should have included in my original post is that all our sins were laid on Jesus and that he was put to death for them by God the Father.

Isaiah 53:6 KJV
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

1 Peter 3:18 KJV
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Yes, propitiation, not atonement. I found this article which says it better than I can:

May, I add John 1:29, John 19:30, Hebrews 9:14-17
So we can now presently have a friendship with Dad, a conversation of honesty? Telling God I just got angry again, I lusted again. I need truth Father, in how to deal with my ignorance and remain in humility to you, not to think I know, I get it, got it! Now trust you only to know you, seeing you have continued to love us all. Not understanding why, Just that you do that and have done that for a long time, ever since Genesis, even though Adam and Eve fell, in not believing they would die if ate and in unbelief ate! You still continued in love, Clothed them, fed them and then put them out of the Garden to teach them, not for to punish, to disciple them, to learn and trust you Father, wow, woe is me as in Isaiah 6:1-7. Even to Cain after he killed his Brother Abel. You did not kill Cain, marked Cain, not killed, amazing, Adam and Eve deserved to get killed and yet you did not kill them either. Then we see, at least me, in the "Testaments, you killed first born of Egyptians and the soldiers also, that first cursed The First Chosen to be killed 10 curses then Ten Laws. Amazing
What was God revealing to people, at least to me, I ask? I get truth told to me personally, so does one, anyone else in belief to God get this too, personally as well, this I see as I stay in not denying God no matter what troubles happen or not, As in the book of Job, tells me, thank you Father and Son for us to be new in trust to you to get us through all troubles we all get in to, and it is by Faith, trust to you, not by me, doing better than anyone else ever. Luke 18:9-14. Matthew 18:24-35.

God just loves us all, wants the best for us all, does not want anyone of us to fight, even though we all have done that and might do that again.
you reported Sins that are past
Romans 3:24-26
I see any sin committed is past so fast, it remains from God as forgiven in Son for us all. What? I can do nothing about past, can you? I can not do a thing about future, anyone else? I see to stand in the present second, and say to God whenever I sin again if do sin again or not! To not make a gigantic mess over it, as is made over it by religious leaders, and not be a person better than others ever as I read Luke 18:9-14 I see this being forgiven, reconciled ( 2 Corinthians 5:17-20) by God presently remains from God to me and all others as well, 1 John 2:1-2, read forward through to verse 27, and trust God Father and Son as Won to be our teacher, in this new life given us to abide in freely. Amazing to see this, when God reveals this to us all in love to us all, that God would not fight back in flesh at all. And did not, who went to that cross willingly and died once for us all to save us in his resurrected life (Hebrews 10:10), not of works any work from us, if it is of our flesh works, then it is not grace is it or a gift? To add any work to a gift, makes it not a gift

God gives, one, anyone that willingly receives becomes new, Thank you
