Jesus, goes forward to say in verse 6 (first born of flesh as in verse 5) first born of water. For flesh and blood is first born in 93 % water in the mother's womb, as today is known as Amniotic fluid, back then when written then known as water (When the water breaks)
When Jesus was talking about Spirit Baptism from Father, Daddy, PaPa for us to be born new from Father, Daddy, PaPa., by Father in Spirit and Truth. Revealed in John 4:23-24 to me. Belief, then Father reveals born new in each person personally.
One Faith, one Lord, One Baptism, Eph 5 I think, that being Spirit Baptism as stated in Acts 1 before Pentecost about John's water Job over, since Jesus is the Messiah now, as he announced that when he Baptized Jesus, and at first said he needed to be Baptized by Jesus, not him Baptize Jesus. Then, now I see be willing to drink the Spirit of Jesus in us willingly and stand in thankfulness to God as it is done for us to be given new in belief to this truth by God, for us all. Not anyone else. Jesus is the water to drink, not the water of earth. This is the Spirit of Father water, (even though, I have gone through the rituals too and have got water Baptized) where no more thirst is there now in Spirit Baptism, given by Father in risen Son, as in John 4, once one anyone chooses willing belief between God Father, Son and them personally. Are born new from Daddy's view, wow woe is me Isaiah 6:1-7 time to renew the minds and begin to see new from Father's view Romans 12:2

what’s happened is men come along after everything is established and say “ we don’t need to do that thing we’re already saved “

Our belief that Jesus died formoir sins and rose isn’t the reason to reject the doctrine of things like baptism or communion it’s what gives those things meaning and power.
consider baptism to mean what they say it means that’s faith for instance when someone gets baptized in Jesus name for remission of sins they should believe this about it

That’s why people are buried in water in his name and raised up from it in his name ….or consider that it’s the circumcision of the flesh promised by God long ago removing man’s sinful flesh …..

putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And

It’s not about anyone adding anything it’s about so many people wanting to remove the things he said to do and receive the promises
