There's that illness is caused by sin, malarkey again. :/ We don't get sick because we sin. I don't have a bad back because I robbed a store. :/ (For example only, I've never robbed anyone. lol). I don't believe that Jesus bestows illness upon us because we sin. Absolutely not!!

I don't think so either otherwise everyone in the world would have sickness and disease.
Jesus said that the to the woman taken in adultery. Nothing to do with healing,

Sickness is a result of this fallen world. Jesus did say in one case that sin could caused a worse thing to come on him ( today if someone has unprotected sex..they could get aids ) This does not mean that all types of sin cause sicknesses.
John 5:14 (NASB)

Sin is deceitful and destructive of that fact there is no doubt...I believe that sickness is the foul offspring of having this world corrupted by sin and satan.
Some sickness are caused by a spirit and some aren't......here below is an example of a sickness caused by satan ( a spirit sent by satan but satan was still attributed to having bound the woman )

[SUP]11 [/SUP] And there wasa woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double, and could not straighten up at all.

I think the more we study the life of Jesus.. the more we will understand some things about healing as He is the exact representation of the Father's will and nature to us as shown in His life in the gospels.

No I didn't imply that. It can be a reason. That was with a man He healed, He didn't say that to all the sick He healed. The blind man, He said neither he nor his parents have sinned.
It was the man at Bethesda.

Don't see what's the use to lie about it.
I used to believe every testimony, but some want to make money and lie.
Well how I connected that was this joy brings gladness to the heart, the joy of the Lord is our strength and so forth could well be just a fluke but I believe not.
Well, myself and several others here aren't healed. That must mean he's not willing to heal ALL.. Just SOME. :/

This illustrates the problem with dreams or visions, that young people tell and embroder especially if parents show avid interest in and suggest other things may or may not have happened. As there are no real facts but someones memory, even the person themselves can project back ideas etc and then believe them to be true.

Unfortunately, there are some Christians who say, “It is God’s will for me to be sick. God has some purpose, some mysterious purpose for my situation. It is all part of His divine plan and we shall all know in the sweet by and by, the reason why!” But these same people go to their doctors to get well. They take their medication and rest. Why do they do that if they really believe that God wants them sick? Doesn’t make sense, does it?
Come on, what makes perfect sense is this: God wants you well. He wants you whole. His will is for you to be healed! In fact, He is so willing that He took all your sicknesses and diseases upon His own body, so that you don’t have to suffer them today! He allowed Himself to be beaten and scourged, so that by His scourging—by His stripes—you are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) Since He has already suffered the sickness on your behalf, why should you suffer it today?
So my friend, if you are sick, know that God did not give you the disease. Read every healing miracle that Jesus did in the Gospels and see how Jesus is the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26) Hear His gracious words, “I am willing, be healed,” and know that they are as much for you today as they were for the leper!

You do not know or understand Scriptures if this is what you believe. Of coarse God desires us to be Healthy and live righteous lives. Of coarse He desires us to not be sick or get a disease. But God is not a liar, and God has to stand by His own word. Pay attention here:
1Co_11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
So if a person does eat unworthily, and gets sick, are you saying that God did not do it?
Gal_6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
So if i sow to my flesh and say i commit adultery, and because Scriptures can't be broken and years later i get a disease (corruption in the flesh) are you saying God did not fulfill His Word which plainly taught if you sow to the flesh of the flesh you shall reap corruption.
Many are sickly and suffering in the flesh because they themselves have brought it upon themselves, by sowing to their flesh. What do you think you will escape the Word of God, when it plainly teaches if you sow to the flesh of the flesh you shall reap corruption. Are you some how exempt from this Inspired by God verse?
There are many reason a person could get corruption in the flesh, some are born with corruption in their flesh and they have done no sin at all. Some have corruption in the flesh because they have sown to their flesh wickedly. Some have corruption in the flesh to reveal the Works of God. Some have corruption in the flesh to test them, or others around them.
Sure satan causes diseases and corruption in the flesh, but he can only do so if God allows him to do so. What? God can't stop satan from giving a person a disease? So then why does that person get a disease? Because they have sowed to the flesh and reaping corruption of that flesh exactly like the Bible says they will. Or they are being tested by God to see how they will handle it, if they will turn to God or turn away from God. Job was tested as well. God allowed satan to cause all manner of corruption in Job's flesh, this was to test Job.
But here is the Truth which this generation will absolutely refuse to believe. If you sow to the flesh, you WILL suffer one day in your flesh because of it. God can't lie, and His Word is True, and can't be broken. If God says "If you sow to the flesh of the flesh you shall reap corruption" i assure you anyone who sows to the flesh shall indeed reap corruption. Most will suffer this corruption during the Hour of Temptation. Temptation that is, to fall away from the faith. Many will fall away from the Faith when they sit as Job did with all manner of corruption in his flesh, but He never did turn away from God. His Hour of Temptation he passed, even though he did not understand why it was happening to him, he did not curse God, nor did he sin though all of it. Not so with this generation when the Hour of Temptation comes and they are suffering in their flesh because of what they themselves have sown, they will not repent, they will curse God, and even believe there is no God. What kind of God would allow all that corruption to come upon that good christian person? i will tell you, an HONEST God, one who warned everyone today, that if you sow to the flesh, you WILL reap corruption in that flesh, you have been warned.
Repent, cease to live sowing to your flesh, because as long as you continue to sow to your flesh, all you are doing is storing up corruption for yourself for the Hour of Temptation.

Cool...so you do agree that God wants us whole and healthy...that's good because Jesus showed us the Father's will and exact nature when He came to the earth to reveal the Father.
That was the whole point of the OP.....
Of course if we show to the flesh we will reap corruption....that's a whole different topic....start a thread on it if you want to warn people about sowing to the flesh.

Isaiah 53:5 is about spiritual healing. Please notice the context. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Was healing provided for in the atonement? Yes it was, but it may not be realized this side of eternity, and when we get to the glory of heaven, the fact that we are healed will probably never even cross our minds. Does God physically heal people today? Yes he does, when it is his sovereign will to do so, and he no longer uses men for this purpose. The apostolic gifts are no longer in operation. No apostles means no prophesies which means no tongues and interpretations which means no gifts of healing. The other gifts such as teaching are still in operation today. There is not a single human being alive on this planet today that can miraculously heal someone at will. And I don't mean "oh my head ache is going away!" I mean limbs growing back immediately. Show me this person and I will eat my crutch!
Jesus is the healer not any man...as for the manifestations of the Spirit being gone...that's just a religious opinion which 100's of millions can testify to the complete opposite. The good news for you is that you will not have to eat your crutch because only Jesus is the healer. Have a great day!

Mmm... Very sad take on things. The teaching gifts are still in operation? No, no, no. It's all or nothing. If God shut down some gifts, he shut them all down. Your best argument would be that today's best bible teachers are well educated and trained by men, and then the purpose of the Holy Spirit would be...what?
Of course, Jesus said, referring to the Holy Spirit, "...He will guide you into all true and He will disclose to you what is yet to come." I take that as prophesy revealed to believers in the future as it unfolds to build faith in believers. I mean, if this word was only meant for Jesus' 12 disciples then hey, everything Jesus said was meant only for them and we can only wish we were in the "in crowd." I'm really saddened by your view on this. Really grieved. Wouldn't want to live this brand of Christianity myself. Not trying to say anything offensive here, it just seems like you would miss so many amazing, fabulous words given to you via the Holy Spirit, as communicated by a prophesy or preacher. They have been incredibly uplifting, timely and one was truly miraculous in its content in my life. Frankly, Beloved777, God has more for you. You are missing out.

I saw one from a new whomb once on youtube with doctors papers and lately a dead baby in a service raised. T.B. Joshua has whole cancers disappear and such, but I think for whole limbs you have to have a bit more patience since everybody thinks: let someone else do that first or go to the big preacher and that's just unbelief. I want to pray for my boss's girlfriend who lost her arm, but to be honest I don't have that faith level now to simply ask him. One Dutch girl saw 2 fingers pop out from a man next to her in a service of Maldonado in the States. She said this on a Dutch forum but they didn't believe her and banned her.

Yes Jesus is the healer as I stated in my last post but you are aware that there were twelve men who Jesus bestowed the miraculous gifts to right? Are any of them alive today?

I never said he shut them down. I said he doesn't use men to work miracles today. The Apostles have been gone for nearly 2000 years.
