What do you all think of the Malaysian Passenger Plane with 290 plus being (supposedly) shot down by a surface to air missile over Ukraine by a Russian Weapons System?

We will never know the truth, All parties will claim another group was responsible and the group to which the world points its collective finger at will just deny it and claim cover up and conspiracy. Even if missle parts are identified it will prove nothing as anyone could have got hold of it.

If it was shot down, I'd bet it was a mistake. The US shot down Iran Air Flght 655, it was a civilian craft. 290 fatalities. Tragic, wasteful, uncalled for, useless and stupid certainly are good words to use, but I doubt that it was deliberate evil.
Aeroplanes make squawks, Iran Air Flight 655's squawk was mode 3 and the US navy mistook it for mode 2, apparently. I'd say this may be something similar.

Evil in the sense of...what Purpose do men have in killing each other over dirt with a particular flag flying over it.......
Honestly, I think the plane must have been in a lower altitude when it flew over the heavy fighting. Someone on one side or the other mistook it for a hostile target and fired some ground to air missile and shot it down. That person may never know that it was even him that did it.

Seems like unjustified deliberate killing is okay when it's those you support doing it, but oh no, not the Russians or the Ukranians .. I don't see what the Russia-Ukraine conflict has to do with an accidental shooting anyway. One is deliberate warring, the other is not.
This seems to be what is coming out...some separatist was bragging about shooting down a transport plane and immediately withdrew his statement and then this comes out.....they are saying the plane was at 10000 feet which matches what you think....

Now they are saying that RUSSIA has taken control of the site and will not allow Ukranian personnel in to inspect the site.....

oh in that case America will find the pro Russian militia rebels currently occupying towns and large areas of Ukraine being responsible. As Russia distance themsleves from this group, hands in air with "nothing to do with us, honest!" comments, this allows USA to declare them as terrorists and will therefore offer military support to Ukraine to irradicate the "terrorists".
Even if this is state sponsored action on behalf of Russia, Russia will dare not get involved, Ukraine democracy will be restored and the USA will be invited to create military bases around Crimea.
