Would God allow me to suffer just to touch the life of another?

I doubt the “just” part of the question. God can do 1,000 goods and isn’t stuck with a simple cause and effect. Would God allow you to suffer for the primary purpose of touching another—yes. Our temporary experiences are not greater than his desire to make himself known.

Let’s think of all the accidents that happen every year on the road, in the air, on the water ! Let’s think about all the natural disasters ! Let’s think about all the diseases caused by human activities because of greed or personal interest and the lack of respect for human life !

Sometimes we sin against our friends.

Job’s friends not only failed to be there for Job in a supportive, loving way but they gave poor advice based on their misunderstandings of God.
The Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.
~Job 42:7

So the book of Job is not only good to encourage us when we are in trouble but also to help us to improve our way to help friends. We also know that we can ask God for help when we must help friends meaning really helping us and not doing the contrary !

Unwavering Trust
9 # Short Commentary and Lesson from Job 13.15

The saying goes that "those who are strong are only strong in God, and those who are strong in God rise above all the circumstances of human life." The daily disciplines of the Christian life develop our character and strengthen our capacity for enduring the trials of life.

Was Job less spiritual because his property was gone; less genuine because he had lost his social standing, or prayerless because he was no longer wealthy? No! his ability to withstand the suffering that Satan had thrown at him arose not through a single act or one effort. Rather, Job's character had matured over many years of faithful service to God through a lifestyle of prayer and obedience to him (Job 1.1, 5)
Job's amazing declaration of unwavering trust in God is a powerful inspiration to anyone ready to give up on God. The true believer walks by faith, and not by sight. Job's trust was not based on the seen, but on the unseen. His possessions, children, and friends were gone, yet he still says, "The Lord alone gives and takes. Praise the name of the Lord!" (Job 1.21). This is faith, not sight.

And trust in the God of the promise: the Israelites were slaves in Egypt, were freed and went to the promised land! God made the promise in the Bible that his servants will live forever on the Earth turned into a paradise We will be able to live every day under his direction and learn from him, the source of every knowledge!

God has drawn boundaries around our lives.

When we follow God’s principles we know where to go or not, we know there are limits which are dangerous to go over.

2. Recognized the Power of Prayer

How many people are praying? How many people are praying regularly? How many people are praying every day? How many people are praying various time every day? How many people are praying with their heart? How many people are praying to God to communicate with him? What about Job?

#5 - Realize that no one really knows how it feels

Each person's suffering is unique, even if some of the details are similar to someone else's experience. One of Job's frustrations was that his friends assumed they knew exactly what he was going through, or why he was suffering and how to make things right.

When you are the one undergoing the trial, save your energy in trying to explain how it feels or what the experience is like, since aside from the comfort of venting, someone else understanding doesn't usually solve the problem. Like Job, we should pour out our hearts to God who does know and who can help relieve our suffering.

« Yes, we must speak to God and tell him how we feel, he is our best friend ! But we can also speak to other people if they are able to listen carefully and maybe they can help by speaking about their own experience which is different but by doing so they will show they can share and understand something even if they don’t understand completely ! But we need to speak first to God without any limit and second to those who are ready to listen carefully ! Job could only speak to God and he was heard ! »

Looking for Job

Job 6:
Honest words are not painful!
But what benefit can be found in your reproof?

- Yes, there is nothing better than being constructive!

- There is nothing better when it helps to go ahead and evolve and make you stronger and positive and able to fight back!

Looking for Job

- SUCCULENT DISHES WE NEED TO CHEW TO KEEP MENTALLY FIT AND STRONG WHATEVER MAY HAPPEN IN OUR LIFE?

Looking for Job

Job 6:
So now turn and look at me,
For I would not lie to your very faces,

- When we speak to people, do we really look at them!

- It doesn’t mean looking at the person all the time because to concentrate it is necessary to close one’s eyes or close the doors and the windows and get inside!

- But at least when the person expresses his feelings or moves we must watch carefully to interpret!

Looking for Job

Job 7:
I loathe my life; I do not want to go on living.
Leave me alone, for my days are like a breath.

- Job has enough, he doesn’t want more!

- He wants the three individuals to leave him alone but they keep working against him!

- The devil keeps using them to strike him till the end!

Looking for Job

Job 9:
He does great and unsearchable things,
Wonderful things that cannot be counted.

- They are so great and so numerous!

- And he used all his huge army of angels!

- God’s creation is so complex that man will never understand anything!

- Only crumbs!

Looking for Job

Job 9:
It is all the same. That is why I say,

“He destroys the innocent and the wicked alike.”

- When Job thinks of his dreadful situation, knowing that he has done nothing wrong, there is no difference to be an innocent of a wicked!

-Think about Job’s feelings!

- He is bitter!

- He has no hope!

- And time is working against him!

Looking for Job

Job 9:
If he would stop beating me
And not let his terror frighten me,
Then I would speak to him unafraid,
For it is not in me to speak out of fear.

- The last verse of Chapter 9 is powerful!

- It tells us about Job’s relationship with God!

- A relationship based on confidence!

- “FOR IT IS NOT IN ME TO SPEAK OUT OF FEAR!”

- What a powerful feeling to be able to open our hearts to God and speak freely to him!

- It should be the rule!

Looking for Job

Job 10
You have given me life and loyal love;
You have guarded my spirit with your
care.

- Isn’t it incredible how Job speaks about God!

- He puts together life and loyal love!

“It's the kind of love that someone demonstrates when they're keeping a promise, and when the desire to be loyal to their promise motivates them to go above and beyond and be super generous, more than what you would expect—that's khesed.”2 nov. 2020

- “Life and Loyal love”: do we still know what it means? I doubt it considering what I see in this world when I get up every morning!

- Job knows what it means!

- Does it mean we are dead?

- And Job says that God has guarded his spirit with care: is that a father-son relationship?

- Is it possible to find better words?

- WOW! WOW! WOW!

Looking for Job

Job 10
But I too have understanding.
I am not inferior to you.
Who does not know these things?

- Job is not a young boy!

- He has lived for quite some time!

- He has life experience!

- He has helped many people!

- He is someone you can count on!

- We know him through the Book of Job!

- We know them according to what they say!

- And they were supposed to help Job but they are liars, they do the reverse!

- They don’t come from God but from the devil!

- They are just another attempt from him to get rid of Job!

Looking for Job

Job 12
He makes counselors go barefoot,
And he makes fools of judges.
He loosens the bonds imposed by kings,
and he binds a belt around their waist.
He makes priests walk barefoot,
And he overthrows those who are firmly
established in power;

- Man is inclined to pride!

- But Job invites us to humility!

- We are nothing compared to him!

- And it doesn’t matter if we are powerful or not!

- We are all going to die!

- And sometimes it arrives faster than what we think!

- Humility may help us to be careful and work for our health!

- Job was old and apparently in good health when the devil acted against him!

- When everything came back to normal he could keep enjoying a peaceful life and a faithful one!

- Definitely a good example to follow and to think about and to remember at any time!

Looking for Job

Job 13
Your wise sayings are proverbs of ashes;
Your defenses are as fragile as defenses of
clay.
Keep silent before me, so that I may speak.

- Job is clear: they are wrong!

- And God will say he is right and they are wrong!

- They will be condemned and he will be rewarded for his continuous faithfulness!

- They should keep silent!

- But the devil is pushing them continuously!

- And think about the fourth individual who is going to speak later!

- When we listen to God’s words, he doesn’t exist!

- He ignores him!

- Isn’t it worse than being condemned?

Looking for job

Job 14
He comes up like a blossom and then withers
away;
He flees like a shadow and disappears.

- Yes, life is too short!

- And Job wants to live!

- But not in such conditions!

- He wants to get back to his normal life!

- He wants to be active!

- He wants to communicate with God!

- He doesn’t want to die!

- And his complaints show how much he wants to live!

Looking for Job

Job 16
“I have heard many things like these before.
All of you are troublesome comforters!
Is there an end to empty words!
What provokes you to answer this way?

- These three men are not real friends otherwise they would help Job!

- But they do the contrary!

- So they can’t be his friends!

- Just empty words!

- Job’s question shows something is abnormal!

- When you take into account that the devil is behind them in his effort to destroy Job!

- And he is ready to do anything!

- They are impostors!

- Job sees clearly why they are here!

Looking for Job

Job 16
Let someone arbitrate between a man and God,
As one would between a man and his fellow.
For the years to come are few,
And I will go away on the path of no return.

- Job knows his personal situation!

- He doesn’t see any hope!

- And he is ready to any solution!

- But whatever may happen he will keep fighting!

- He will not renounce!
