You are terribly, terribly wrong. Cain knew he was wrong when he offered a sacrifice that God rejected. Is it your pride that prevents you from humbling yourself before God? You just cannot accept responsibility for your sin.

Don't be the man in John 3:20. Come to the Light and do not retreat into the darkness. There is still time if you will allow Christ to save you. You cannot be saved against your will.

If you believe that God is all powerful, and can accomplish all his will, and you also believe that man can not allow God to save him, these two statements are contradicting.

You have no concept of the character of God. It is the goodness not the severity of God that leads men to repentance.

The only men that God leads to repentance are his disobedient children. The natural man, void of the Spirit, will not, and even can not, respond to spiritual things.

Absurd! You have no reasonable reply to make so you resort to the absurd.

I've talked with Muslims that made more sense than you.

Most children of God thought Jesus's doctrine was absurd when he was teaching it in person and most of them, in this day and time, still think it is absurd, as evidenced by you.

The religious Pharisees thought it absurd. The common folk welcomed the doctrine Christ taught. The Pharisees saw Jesus as a threat to their power and had no interest in the eternal welfare of the people.

Calvinism is far more concerned about religion than it is about souls being saved. Calvinism replaces the grace of God with the election of men. They see the through the lens of hindsight not through the gospel of hope. They make the crucified Lord as One who turns away some and only welcomes those whom have been elected to receive salvation. Scripture teaches that Christ is pleading with those who are turning away to return before it is too late.

Isaiah is not talking about men that are but natural men, void of the Spirit ( 1 cor 2:14 ). He is talking about Jerusalem ( Ariel , verse 1 ). Read the whole chapter to keep it in context.
The whole chapter is under the context of Romans

As it is written:......“There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. Romans 3

God must do the first works and give us the hearing of His faith as it is written before we can understand and then seek after him who has no form

Remember not all Israel is born again Israel as the bride of Christ, the church . Just as a outward Jew pertaining to the flesh of a Jew who does not have the born again Spirit of Christ do not belong to Him. God is not respecter of a persons flesh .As new creatures we are to n know no man after the flresh (the things seen ) we walk by faith not by sight.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

The Spirit of Christ is the qualifier of those who hear the gospel and believe the Holy Spirit .Old Testament as well as the New.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.2 Corinthians 4:7

God did not cause the natural man to hear. Eph 2:5, Even when we were dead (spiritually dead) in sins, hath he quickened ( made spiritually alive ) us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). The spiritually dead man cannot hear spiritual things, they are foolishness to him, 1 Cor 2:14. Once they have been born again of the Spirit, then they can hear the gospel and believe.

Christ called all because His elect are among the all, as they don't know that they are saved until they are converted and the whole process of salvation begins. Christ never turns anyone away, people reject Him instead. Only the elect will remain faithful to the end and receive the reward, many will come to Him but only some are chosen for salvation.

The free gift of salvation is offered to all mankind.

Many reject the gift, few accept the gift.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The word "confess" is the Greek word homologēsēs (from homologeó) which means to say the same thing as another; properly, to voice the same conclusion, i.e. agree ("confess").

So when the gospel is presented, the one who "confesses" is the one who says the same thing as the Scripture presented to him/her.

The person speaking the gospel is speaking the Word of God.

The one who "confesses" agrees with God that Jesus Christ is Lord.

This post just speaks to me. Thank you!!:)

I listened to a sermon a while ago on "confess" and the meaning of agreeing with God.

I cannot even tell you how much it illuminated (can't think of a better word) so much in scripture for me.

My husband is the one who studied the meaning of the word "confess". I think there is a tendency on the part of some who believe that to confess is some sort of "work" done on our part. My husband worked through the meaning of the word confess and showed me. btw, 1 John 1:9 is the same ... "confess" sin = agree with God that we have missed the mark.

We don't believe that the free gift of salvation is offered to all.

I'm involved with our Churches outreach ministry, we go knocking on doors and we offer salvation to everyone because we don't know who the elect are. Most people don't want to hear the Gospel at all, they have absolutely no interest in "religion".

Only the elect will ever respond to the Gospel by believing it, it's utter foolishness to the rest (reprobate)

Multiple errors are present in your post. Salvation is not a process it is an event. In a single moment a soul trusts Christ and is saved, Sanctification is a life long process. Salvation cannot be lost and there is no remaining faithful involved in salvation. Sanctification yes but not salvation.

You are basing your theology on false permisis. Correlation is not causation. God has never created a soul He did not love and God loves all souls with His complete love. Those that reject God do so against all the love of God.

You seem to have forgotten that Christ said, "those who endure to the end shall be saved" so it sounds like we need to endure and remain faithful to the end, to be saved. So salvation is a life long process and you are saved at the very end. See the Roman Catholic Church had a point when they proclaimed that it's not good for private individuals to study the Bible, because we end up with all kinds of wild ideas.

The priests said, the Bible should be left in their hands only. They warned that all kinds of Cults and Sects would arise out of private interpretation of the Bible. Our Church teaches us to follow our Pastor, he is the Shepherd and we are the Sheep. He is responsible to teach us what all the scriptures mean, God called him to that position. His knowledge of the scriptures is mind blowing, he would make everyone here look like school kids.

We believe that Calvin explained the Gospel better than anyone else in history, so of' course we agree with him and we preach from the same point of view.
We usually don't get that deep into theology during outreach, we explain our beliefs when they take up our offer to join us at Church. Until then we just ask them the basic questions like if they believe Christ died on the cross and was resurrected three days later, to get an idea of where they are at.

John Calvin believed in infant baptism, that sacraments were equal to the Bible, and Amillennialism. He continued to believe these false teachings even after making a somewhat break from the RCC.

We could say a lot more but we won't.
