7 minutes into that video required me to repent for listening to that much of it.
Look up the words "convict", "condemn", etc. Nowhere will you find the Holy Spirit came to put condemnation upon anyone. All have already been accounted sinners, and all sinners know they are sinners.
The Holy Spirit does reprove and convict of sin.
John 16:6-11 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
6 [/SUP]But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. [SUP]
7 [/SUP]Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away,
the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [SUP]
8 [/SUP]And when he is come,
he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [SUP]
9 [/SUP]of sin, because they believe not on me; [SUP]
10 [/SUP]of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; [SUP]
11 [/SUP]of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Def: Reprove:
To convince of a fault, or to make it manifest.
John 16:8.
To excite a sense of guilt. The heart or conscience reproves us.
When a Christian sins, the Holy Spirit is there to point out the righteous act that should happen, like in John 8:10-12 (KJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
[SUP]11 [/SUP] She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
So what has any Christian to do with having to be convicted of sin by the Holy Spirit? Our conscience has capacity to do that. We are taught to judge ourselves, repent, and return to righteous living. If our heart doesn't
If we are "convicted", then someone has judged us of a crime.
The Holy Spirit works through the preaching of the word of God.
When a Christian has sin in his life, the Holy Ghost will many times use the preaching of the word to convict that Christian who has that sin in his life, hence, the Christian knows what he needs to confess and repent of before God the Father in order to get back in right fellowship with the Lord.
1 John 1:5-9 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
5 [/SUP]This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. [SUP]
6 [/SUP]If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [SUP]
7 [/SUP]but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [SUP]
8 [/SUP]
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [SUP]
9 [/SUP]
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Hence, a Christian, although he is eternally saved, still, he has to deal with his flesh, the old nature in his flesh. And so when a Christian does sin, it is important to confess it right away, repent of it, and then to forsake it. Because if a Christian does not confess his sins, and judge them and himself, then his fellowship with God the Father will be broken and that Christian will have to endure chastening from the Lord:
1 Corinthians 11:26-32 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
26 [/SUP]For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. [SUP]
27 [/SUP]
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. [SUP]
28 [/SUP]But let a
man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. [SUP]
29 [/SUP]For
he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. [SUP]
30 [/SUP]For this cause
many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. [SUP]
31 [/SUP]For if
we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. [SUP]32 [/SUP]But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Judgment is coming, but not for those following Jesus. Judas followed Jesus for a while, but stopped following, began betraying. The others pursued following Jesus to the end. I pursuing Jesus, following Jesus, we as disciples learn the Jesus Way, and walk it.
The only Judgment which is coming for the Christian, is the Judgment Seat of Christ:
Romans 14:10-12 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. [SUP]
11 [/SUP]For it is written,
As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. [SUP]
12 [/SUP]So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
11 [/SUP]For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [SUP]
12 [/SUP]Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
[SUP]13 [/SUP]every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. [SUP]
14 [/SUP]If any
man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [SUP]15 [/SUP]If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
2 Corinthians 5:10 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things
done in
his body, according to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad.
The Bozo making the video doesn't know the gospel. [/quote'
No, the brother in Christ who made the video does know the Gospel. And he knows it very well.
I'm not interested in defending all of J. Prince's doctrines, but the video was blatantly built on ignorance.
No, the video was built on the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. And he soundly rebuked Joseph Prince for his heresies and errors.
As for the "laughing", I know the man making that video has never been in an anointed gospel meeting.
That clip of Kenneth Hagin with his hysterical laughing and with all the other charismatics was not an anointed Gospel meeting at all.
That meeting where Kenneth Hagin was leading that evening was a Satanic meeting.
My wife and I both experienced many such meetings, where the Bible was simply read out loud sometimes, without doctrine,
Why without Doctrine?
The main purpose for the writing of Scripture was to teach
Sound Doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]All scripture
is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [SUP]
17 [/SUP]that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
and at a whisper all the congregation was filled with the Spirit, resembling a drunken crowd. Nobody can stand in the presence (anointing) of the Lord.
Those people in that Kenneth Hagin meeting were not filled with the Holy Spirit. They were filled with another spirit.
When Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit. They have a desire and hunger for the Truth. They study out and search the Scriptures for Bible Truth. Also, when Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit, they have a Biblical Boldness to preach the Gospel to a lost and dying world. They are empowered to witness to the lost.
He can't take that away from those who tasted of that in that video, and continue to taste of the glory of God.
What you saw in that clip where Kenneth Hagin was laughing hysterically along with the other people in that Charismatic meeting was not the Glory of the Lord.
What you saw was in that Kenneth Hagin clip was a manifestation of a drunken spirit. It was not a move of the Holy Spirit at all.
When a meeting is lead and guided by the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ and His word is magnified. The preaching of Jesus Christ is at the center. The Holy Ghost does not magnify Himself, but rather, He points men to Jesus Christ.
John 16:12-15 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [SUP]14 [/SUP]He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. [SUP]15 [/SUP]All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Probably very few of readers here experienced Kenneth E. Hagin. The man preached faith, the same faith Jesus and his apostles taught,
You are deceived sir.
Kenneth Hagin did not preach the same faith which Jesus and His apostles preached.
Kenneth Hagin's heretical teachings laid the foundation for what today is known as the "Prosperity Gospel" aka WoF movement.
Sadly, faith is substantially unknown to much of the "Church" today. Acquire and read Hagin's books and whatever videos you can find, and learn all you can about faith.
If one wants to learn about Faith, they should avoid Heretic Kenneth Hagin and his damnable heresy by all means.
A Christian should instead get themselves a King James Holy Bible and read and study it everyday. And they will learn more about Faith Just fine.
A Christian can also seek out King James Bible believing preachers and teachers and listen to sermons by them: (Peter S. Ruckman, Lester Roloff, Bryan Denlinger, Brian Moonan, Reg Kelly, Ed Pfenninger, David Hoffman, Gregory A. Miller, etc.), if they want to learn about the subject of faith.
